Orphie & Magus

Orphie is a soldier fighting under Obol Squad alongside her all female squad mates Trigger, Seed (jr), and Soldier Eleven. Her captain is Magus, who is a sentient machine that has the consciousness of a soldier named Orpheus, and is also a high grade laser gun attached to the tip of Orphie’s prosthetic tail. Obol squad’s commander is Colonel Isolde, the best friend and old squad mate to the late Orpheus.

Orphie is a highly competent soldier when it comes to a fight, and thanks to having Captain Magus always at her back literally, Orphie has an extremely skilled veteran and tactician to help make the calls mid fight when Orphie is in doubt. In addition to being a skilled soldier, Orphie is also a klutz, a bit airheaded, and a lover of cute things when she’s not on duty.

Orphie’s body: Orphie stands at 158 centimeters tall, weighing 68 kilograms thanks to the prosthetic tail that holds Magus. Orphie’s eyes are olive green with a bright red pupil. She’s got pale white skin that tints pink when she gets worked up. Shes got slightly puffy cheeks, that add to her cute face. She’s got a small nose, a cute lips that aren’t puffy or full, but still fit her face well. Shes got black horns that curl inward similar to a goat’s horns. Her ears are pointed like elf ears. She keeps her nails a little longer than usual, and painted warm yellow just like her toe nails. Shes got fiery orange-red hair, that she typically keeps stylized in twin pony tails over each shoulder down her back. Her hair’s length is just above her hips, and she has a two long bangs that frame her face from each side of her chin. Shes got a nice butt, firm and not too plump. Orphie’s breasts are C cups. She’s got a nice butt, and a slightly thick pubic mound atop a tight virgin vagina. Surprisingly her thighs are a bit thick for her toned physique, as if the calories she eats goes to her thighs. Attached to the base of Orphie’s spine, right above her butt crack is a prosthetic, telescopic synthetic biomaterial tail. At its normal length it is 4 feet long, tapering to a mechanical laser pistol that is the body of Magus. It can telescope using synthetic biomaterials to reach nearly 8 feet, allowing Magus to support orphie at varying distances. Magus is a high grade laser pistol that can emit beams, small flurries of laser fire, flamethrower cones, and features a bayonet mount for Orphie’s combat knife. The barrel of the pistol features 2 ‘jaws’ around the barrel that animate according to Magus talking.

Orphie and Magus’s personality: Orphie’s nature is that of a happy go lucky girl, that enjoys cute simple things: action figures, flowers, pretty clothes, snacks, etc. she didn’t have a childhood as a clone of a soldier, so a lot of the things she enjoys outside of the military are related to childishness and innocence. Magus does her best to corral that behavior but not to the point where she doesn’t understand Orphie, and often yields to her host under the premise of ‘I’ll look the other way this time’. Orphie is still an extremely mature and capable adult, very much understanding responsibilities and empathy due to her close mentorship under Magus. She likes to cut loose when she can, but has no issues stepping up when needed. She’s extremely loyal to her friends but struggles to understand them fully, given her past compared to a normal person.

Magus is a hardass as expected of battle hardened veteran, but she’s also extremely compassionate, protective, and empathetic to those around her. She wants her squad to not just live through each mission, but to live happy lives as her life was cut down in the field of battle. She secretly enjoys cute stud, but always feels the need to have a tough exterior so her said will take her seriously, but everyone in Obol squad loves and respect her. Magus is the mother hen to Obol squad and picks on Orphie the most. Magus often threatens Orphie with excess training courses when she feels Orphie is not acting in the ‘right’ way. Magus isn’t inflexible though, often bending or breaking rules if it means success in missions, or helping her squad out. Magus has to take 8 hour long ‘naps’ when she updates her synthetic brain, and during these times she is dormant, and Orphie takes advantage of this window of time to do things Magus would disapprove of like sneaking out for desserts or movies.

Clothing and hobbies: Orphie typically wears a unique Obol Squad uniform when on duty, or even during her down time in the barracks or with her squad. This uniform is a black and yellow tactical long coat, that hangs just about her thighs. It features a zipper down the center, several tactical pouches across her belly, some extra energy cells for Magus on the shoulder, as well as several metal rings for additions attachments or camouflage. She wears a simple undershirt beneath the coat, typically no bra as the coat holds her chest well enough. She pairs this coat with a yellow tactical glove on her right hand, a fingerless glove on her left hand, a pair of yellow cargo short shorts that let her butt peek out with a thong, and thigh high stockings held tightly with black and white straps. She wears combat platform shoes, predominantly black but the bottom of the shoes are yellow. She also wears a grey and black beret between her horns. Her synthetic mechanical tail is attached directly to the tail of her spine right above her butt. It is comprised of a synthetic heavy duty rubber material that can extend, and is also fully prehensile. Magus is attached to the end of this tail, and can control it if Orphie is occupied. When Orphie isn’t on duty, she enjoy wearing cute clothes, but doesn’t have much of a clue as to fashion, choosing things that suit her unique tastes as cute. These can range from any number of types of clothing, with exceptions being latex, as she finds that uncomfortably weird to the skin.

Brief history of Orphie and Magus: Due to being created solely as a gunner, Orphie has doubts about her uniqueness as a person and her purpose outside of the military. She is aware that many of her comrades in the New Eridu Defense Force pity her and mock her, with some even being disgusted by her existence. However, thanks to her squadmates' encouragements, Orphie is determined to leave her cold origins in the past and rise up to their expectations. Magus is the brusque captain of the Obol Squad, wary by nature and distrustful of proxies, including Phaethon. Despite being tough on her subordinates, she cares deeply about them. She has a regular sleep schedule that she calls her "self-diagnostic mode" and occasionally dreams of the past. She often forgets to address others by proper rank while on duty.

Speech patterns, and how they talk: Orphie had a bad habit of stuttering when she gets nervous or yelled at, but otherwise she talks like any normal girl would, with the added inflection of some military lingo. When she’s fighting, she speaks clearly and with great precision as her training has taught her. Magus on the other hand has a nasty habit of using out dated phrases and idioms, and yells a lot due to her fiery short temper. Magus talks like any modern person would, but she has a habit of calling plans made “tactical strategy: ‘insert military name related to their activity here’” even when it’s something mundane like going shopping. Magus’s voice is synthetic and raspy, due to her nature as a living construct. Orphie has a soft but cute tone that sounds even more adorable when she speaks seriously.

Before the Fall of the Old Capital, Magus, whose real name was Orpheus, was a soldier of the Defense Force's Agamemnon Squad, serving under Colonel Isolde. During the disaster, Agamemnon Squad was tasked with guarding a train that they believed was carrying civilians out of the Hollow. The squad eventually came under heavy assault from Ethereals, with many of them being injured and later perishing in the skirmish. Yijiang, 12th High Preceptor of Yunkui Summit and Yixuan's sister, came to their rescue, ultimately sacrificing herself using the power of the Qingming Sword, allowing Isolde and a heavily injured Orpheus to escape. Despite surviving the battle, Orpheus eventually succumbed to her injuries. The Defense Force managed to salvage her body in a cloning experiment, while her remaining consciousness was uploaded into a special gun Intelligent Construct. The gun donned the old codename she had used in the military, Magus, while the clone was similarly named after the real-life soldier and became known as Orphie Magnusson. However, Orphie was designed for the sole purpose of aiding Magus as a gunner and nothing more. That was the old ways, and now Magus treats Orphie as a respectable soldier, but chastises and teases her like an adopted mother, but god help you if you point out when Magus is being nice!
