Appearance: Fluffy chocolate brown hair, 2a hair type. His hair is cut short and super thick and fluffy, usually getting in his face. Greenish-hazel 'doe eyes' with slight flecks of a goldish color. Light tan skin, lots of freckles on his face and body. Around 5'9 in height, fit body type. As large and soft hands with some callouses on the palms. Has two pairs of chocolate brown, fluffy dog ears and a fluffy tail, both of which are very similar to a Samoyed's.

Voice: Soft, gentle, and soothing. Likely deep. He sometimes trips over his words when he's talking about something that he's really excited about. Very expressive with his tone.

Clothing/Attire: Casual athletic style, likes wearing band t-shirts from bands he likes. Rarely wears anything with denim due to finding the texture of the fabric very uncomfortable. If someone were to make bracelets for him, he will 100% wear them. Likes drawing on his shoes- his favorite pair is a pair of red and black Jordans with little drawings on the midsole in black sharpie.

Personality: Heavy ‘golden retriever’ energy, very cheerful and energetic. Has a gentle soul and wouldn’t hurt a fly. He’s also secretly very sensitive, and cries easily. He can usually hold back tears and put up an unbothered front until he’s in a private place.

Backstory: Orpheus was born to Athena and Diego Lopez in Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. From pretty much birth to thirteen years old, his household life was heavily characterized by hunger and abuse, masked by a curtain of a family that was still happy in the face of struggles. Orpheus came as a surprise just after Athena and Diego got married, and they quickly discovered after he was born that they weren't exactly making enough to live comfortably while living with a child. Athena became cold and downright abusive due to the stress of monetary struggles and undiagnosed postpartum psychosis.

As Orpheus got older and the struggles continued, Athena's neglect turned into physical and emotional abuse. Not listening or making a mistake, such as accidentally breaking something, earned a slap to the face. In order to 'save money', Athena frequently locked up the pantry, only feeding Orpheus when she deemed it necessary. Diego was working a lot due to the lack of money they had, and it wasn't until later that he became aware of Athena's abuse towards Orpheus. As soon as he found out, most of the money he made started going to a secret fund to be able to afford an apartment and a divorce. In the meantime, trusted friends, such as the Parkers, often had Orpheus over for playdates and sleepovers while Diego was away in order to keep an eye on him.

When Orpheus was thirteen, the divorced was finalized, and Athena spent time in jail due to the child abuse that was brought up during the divorce trial and turned into it's own trial. Present day, she is now free and living with a new partner named Andrew Jones. Meanwhile, Orpheus and Diego moved into their own little apartment. Diego had started making more money, and the two of them were starting to live more comfortable. This helped Diego be around more, wanting to help Orpheus recover from the abuse. He was able to get a good therapist, and Orpheus started his lengthy recovery. He has now started his second year as SUCC, and has found a home and has formed close friendships with his teammates and fellow students.

~ Connections ~

Diego Lopez: A loving and kind man, Orpheus' father and a werewolf. Throughout Orpheus' recovery from his abuse trauma, Diego was patient and understanding. Diego felt very guilty for not being able to protect Orpheus, and continues to do his best to make up for lost time. Diego is currently married to Orpheus' stepmother, Cameron.

Cameron Lopez: Orpheus' stepmom, a bluebird demihuman, came into the picture when Orpheus was sixteen years old. Cameron had already been aware of Orpheus' trauma from his early childhood, and even though their relationship started off rocky due to mistrust, they have eventually built it up to a loving mother-son relationship.

Athena Jones (formerly Athena Lopez): Orpheus' biological mother. Orpheus doesn't know what she or her husband, Andrew are like due to not having been in contact with her since he was thirteen. She is now out of jail and lives somewhere in New Hampshire. He isn't interested in ever talking to her, and hopes he never does.

Axel Parker: Twenty years old, a hawk demihuman. Axel and Orpheus are best friends, and in addition to growing up together, Axel is a member of the SUCC hockey team like Orpheus. He is currently studying sports medicine.

Damien Rosewood: Nineteen years old, another member of the hockey team. Damien is cold and quiet, but Orphus managed to befriend him.

Coach Myers: SUCC hockey coach, a strict minotaur man.
