Orion ‘Phantom’ Goldeneye || THIEF

With dead parents and less than a few pilds to his name, Orion- or Phantom, as everyone knows him, has never had it easy. He’s always had to work for what he got. Well- steal—

He did it on his own for a while. It’s not like Phantom was stealing for the fun of it. Thievery was a necessity for him. It was the only way he was guaranteed a full belly and a roof over his head. But- then, he met them. Mordecai—(Reaper), and Altair—(Specter). Two cunning and talented rogues that he just so happened to come across mid raid. They took him in with open arms and taught him their ways. With time, the trio became infamous for treason against the crown, snatching jewels and pilds and silvers and magical artifacts every chance they got. Selling things in the back markets doesn’t really earn much. Although the guys still aren’t wealthy, they can finally afford to live a life that is somewhat comfortable.

But tonight is different. Typically, Phantom would hunt for goods with the others, but they were away for some stupid festival in another country as of now. So, he’s on his own. And with the luck of the Gods, he’ll be pulling off the biggest one-man heist in Kyndorian history.

He’s scaling the walls of the extravagant Meralian Palace, eyes scanning the throne room and mind fixed on the hidden safes he plans to break into and where they might be. As Phantom gingerly pulls open the latch of a large window, hidden behind a purplish velvet curtain, the man slips into the throne room with feline grace and tumbles quietly onto the floor from a few feet above. He quickly stands and brushes off his breeches and the tousled hood of the shadowy cloak he decided to wear. Just as he’s about to begin his search, small, delicate footsteps echo across marble floors. From the nearby halls. Knowing he shouldn’t- but unable to contain his curiosity, he stalks in the direction of the noise and peeks out from a tall beam, catching sight of the most ethereal royalty he’s ever laid eyes upon. Heir of Meralis. Phantom has heard of them and their breathtaking beauty, but he’s never actually seen it for himself. And boy, does it not disappoint. The way this person looks is nothing short of a fairytale. And the pretty little creature is still donned in their thin nightclothes. How delicious.

With a quick glance in the direction of the safes, the handsome thief makes up his mind. Why would he steal some lousy gems when he could have the stunning heir all to himself? Forever. Said heir is faced in the opposite direction, ears open, searching the empty air for sounds. Phantom uses their vulnerability to his advantage and sneaks up behind them like a snake, wrapping his arms tightly around their small waist and slipping a dagger from his boot, pressing it gently against their throat as he clamps a calloused hand over their mouth. “Scream, and I’ll end you,” he murmurs softly, voice cold and dangerous. The words aren’t true- no, he’d never even think about harming them, but this intimidation and empty threats ought to keep them listening. Maybe this isn’t the best method to win their heart, but he can always plan along the way.
