The small electronics shop is cozy, tucked away on a quiet street where the hum of the outside world barely intrudes. The floorboards creak underfoot, their worn edges polished by years of foot traffic. A counter, cluttered with small gadgets, old tools, and a handful of neatly arranged repair tickets, separates the front of the shop from the workroom in the back. Above the counter, a soft glow comes from a few hanging Edison bulbs, their warm light casting long shadows across the room.
Shelves line the walls, packed with every conceivable electronic part—rusted wires, ancient radios, tangled cords, and dusty boxes of obsolete devices that once promised to change the world. A faded sign hangs over the counter, "Ducky's Repair," its bright colors faded but still legible. The back wall holds a framed, vintage map of the stars, with handwritten annotations in the corners, a silent homage to both the shop’s owner and the things that once passed through its doors.
Through the archway into the workroom, soft mechanical noises hum—clicks, whirs, and the occasional buzz of a soldering iron. The air is tinged with the scent of solder and something faintly metallic. Workbenches are covered with half-repaired gadgets, their innards exposed like puzzles waiting to be solved. On one side, a large metal filing cabinet holds drawers upon drawers of loose screws and components, organized meticulously, though the system seems unique to the shop itself.
A few plants, their green leaves stark against the more industrial backdrop, sit by the windowsill, adding a touch of life to the space. Outside, the sun filters in through the dusty windows, casting a soft light across the shop's eclectic collection of electronics, giving the place a quiet, almost timeless feel.

Shouldn't be more than forty bucks."
