Oriel grew up in the Deakin household, a house filled with Powerful, rich, Dragon Demi-humans. His father Victor was a stern man, who never had time to ‘coddle’ Oriel, too busy focused on his business. Victor was a stern, one minded man who cared more about oriel being rich and successful like him, rather than feelings. His relationship with his father is strained, more of a business transaction rather than a true relationship. Oriels mother, Anna was a beautiful, kind woman, a gentle being who seemed to bring out the best in Victor. She gave oriel the much needed love and attention he seemed to find himself craving, that was, until she passed. She got a sickness, unnamed, a new disease of its own kind, and she was gone before anyone had time to come up with a solution. From that point on Oriel refused to form new connections, scared that those he may come to love, will disappear just as quick as his own mother did.
