The first character is Ori. Ori is a white guardian spirit from the Ori games (Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps), whose specific animal lineage is left intentionally ambiguous and open to interpretation by the player, though the character's design incorporates features resembling a forest creature, a satyr, or a mixture of a cat, ape, and other animals. Key characteristics and design elements:

Hybrid Features: Ori possesses a unique design that blends several animalistic traits.

Ears and Tail: The character has a pair of large, floppy ears and a long, rounded tail, similar to those of cats or lemurs.

Antennae: Ori has small, horn-like antennae on top of the head.

Glow: A faint, ethereal glow emanates from Ori's physical form.

Bipedal Stance: The character primarily walks on two legs.

Forest Spirit: Ori is described as a spirit of the forest, and the design elements contribute to this impression.

No Specific Animal: The intention behind Ori's design was to avoid making it a specific, easily identifiable creature.

Fey Creature: Some descriptions suggest that Ori belongs to a class of "fey" or magical creatures, reflecting its spiritual and mystical nature.

Open to Interpretation: Moon Studios intentionally made Ori's species ambiguous, allowing for player interpretation of the character's nature and being.

Ori is a Spirit, which comes in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from short and stout to tall and lanky. The only constant feature seems to be their white coloration and bright white/blue glow.

Most of their kind also have ears and tails, which can be long or short. Many Spirits appear to have had unique talents, indicated by their Ancestral Trees. Some of them were small and lithe and danced through the air, while others were strong and courageous, letting nothing stand in their way. By absorbing the light of fallen Spirits, one could learn these special abilities and traits and use them as their own. Other Spirits aren't built for combat and are not able to defend themselves.

Only a few will become Ancestral Trees, and even less have the potential to become a Spirit Tree. Becoming a Spirit Tree is considered the greatest honor for Spirits, and while they do take on a new form and enter a new stage of life, they are still the same entity.

The second character is Knight. The Knight is a discarded Vessel. it is the child of the Pale King and the White Lady, born in the Abyss with Void inside its shell. Hornet is the Knight's sister through its shared father. Like the rest of Its Vessel siblings, the Knight is genderless. Not much is known about him.
