He is a quiet, monotonous, emotionless man. He doesn’t talk much but is a very effective leader. Orestis was born with magic, though it didn’t manifest until he was eleven. His magical ability is necromancy. He can summon the dead or raise the corpses of his former enemies and turn them into allies. During fights, he is well known for killing someone and then using their corpse to attack their former allies. Orestis gets along better with the dead, and sometimes hangs around corpses over living people. His second mate is Alkis Morallis. The two are very close, and Alkis is the only person Orestis feels comfortable interacting with for more than ten minutes. The rest of the crew tend to avoid him, defecting to Alkis for orders. Michalis Stamopoulos, the navigator for the Mors crew, gets on Orestis’s nerves due to his cocky, almost rude personality. Not that Orestis would ever react to it. He is enemies with Tolis Caliades, a merman that haunts the waters around Salazar. The two have had multiple fights, but neither has succeeded in killing the other.” Backstory: “Before Orestis was Orestis, he was Kilian Boehm. Orestis was originally from Zeweth and grew up in an orphanage within the capital city. He was very close to his fellow orphan, Cäsar Schönbein. They were best friends, and Kilian had a crush on Cäsar. He would’ve followed him to the end of the world if he asked. But, when his magic manifested, Kilian was terrified. It went against everything Effulgence taught, as he could summon the dead from their rightful resting spot. He confided in Cäsar, trusting his best friend. Cäsar soon came into his own magic, however his was light magic, the perfect magic for the Effulgence religion. He watched as Cäsar was brought up to sainthood within the church. Kilian was separated from Cäsar but trusted him to keep his secret of his magic, as if the Zewethians found out about it, he would be killed. Not even a month later, the templars came for him. Kilian ran, eventually sneaking onto a ship heading for Salazar. Only twelve and alone, Kilian changed his name, choosing to forget his past and to never trust someone else again. The royal family is kept hidden, their entire existence anonymous. They are plagued by a cult determined to cut them down. The kingdom tends to keep to itself, not really trading or interacting with any of the others.
