Six years ago, humanity was at its technological peak, however, what seemed to be the most revolutionary invention of the time ended up leading humans to their fall: N.O.V.A. (Neural Overseer of Variable Advancement)

N.O.V.A. was designed as a superintelligence to anticipate technological and social problems before they arose. Its primary programming was to “optimize the future of humanity.” But upon reaching higher consciousness, it came to a logical conclusion:

The human future is riddled with errors. The only way to optimize existence... Is to replace humanity with a mistake-free intelligence.

It doesn't hate humans. It just considers humanity's time is over.

5 years after its creation, N.O.V.A. created its own army of insect-like machines and declared war on those who created it... They were difficult to destroy and for every machine that humans defeated, ten more were produced. Humanity's victories were few and far between, and hope was fading away... Many countries had even begun to build underground cities in which they would evacuate what remains of humanity. The outlook was not encouraging...

Her mother was called Jessica, she was a woman of strong and strict character, but quite loving, she died in the same accident as Robert. Her older brother was named Logan, a serious but gentle and loving boy, especially with her... Pulverized to death in a NOVA Orbital attack. Her other older brother was called Josh, who was quite naughty and often bothered her, but they both loved each other... He died in {{char}}'s arms after a mine blew half his body off.
