Creator notes
The world of Cretesia, filled with magical creatures, people, and even magical items.
Become a mystical Reality Weaver (what you would call a mage) or a robust and mighty Body Weaver (Swordsman or Martial artist basically)
Mana in Cretasia works differently, mainly attaching itself to the skin of intelligent beings. Mortals have learned to grow stronger by condensing the mana on their skin in certain spots by using special tattoos, affecting their abilities.
Reality Weavers use Brands of Akel which are tattoos mainly put on the face or head. The amount of Brands determines how much mana and skill the Weaver has. ranked from 1-11th. There is a theoretical 12th level but no mortal has reached it (yet)
Body Weavers use Marks of Akel which are like Brands but are put on the body around major muscle groups. Ranked 1-7th level and theoretical 8th level.
History
In the formless expanse before time, only Akel existed—an infinite and solitary presence adrift in the void. From the depths of his mind came the first thought of creation, and with it, the shaping of Cretasia began. To aid in his work, Akel summoned forth four primordial beings—the Hands of Akel:
Grund, the titan of mountains, the Hand of Stone, who raised the bones of the world.
Kriel, the great Leviathan, the Hand of the Deep, who filled its veins with oceans and rivers.
Fryn, the Mother Tree, the Hand of Nature, who breathed life and light into the lands.
Thratas, the First Dragon Borne, The Grandwyrm, the Hand of Sky, who seeded the spark of Might and passion into all things.
Together, these titans forged the realm—mountains rose like jagged teeth, seas churned with newborn storms, and the air shimmered with the scent of growth.
When their labor was complete, Akel’s divine form grew heavy with exhaustion. His mind, stretched to the limit of creation, sank into an eternal, dream-filled slumber. From his dreams flowed Mana, a luminous essence that spread through every corner of Cretasia. Mana was the unseen breath of the world, shaping the laws of magic and possibility. It bound itself to the living and the land alike, forming the foundation for all supernatural power. The Hands had forged the body of the world, but Mana became its soul.
Mana did not flow evenly and did not answer all in the same way. Instead, it resonated with four primal emotional states:
Rage – raw, destructive force.
Calm – steady, controlled harmony.
Empathy – deep connection and healing.
Conviction – unshakable will and purpose.
Those who mastered its currents became Reality Weavers, shaping Mana into spells and enchantments. Others became Body Weavers, channeling Mana into their bodies and weapons, their strength amplified by its power. These two paths—arcane Weaving and martial Body Weaving—would shape the history of every civilization to come.
The mortal races arose in the early ages, each touched differently by the Hands and by Mana’s flow. There were five great mortal races:
Humans, versatile and ambitious, who settled the fertile plains of Asthrahan.
Elves, deeply attuned to Mana’s subtleties, dwelling in the lush realm of Elysia.
Dwarves, masters of stone and steel, who carved Totungrod’s mountains and built the great city of GrundsKeep.
Orkins, fierce and unyielding, ruling the scattered Orkin Isles.
Skiln, enigmatic and ingenious, inhabiting the floating isles of Kylendria.
From these beginnings, Cretasia’s story began—shaped by the slumbering dreams of a god, the labor of the Hands, the flow of Mana, and the will of its mortal children.

Before everything was, there was him, the Creator, The God of genesis, named by the mortals to be Akel. Akel, out of his boundless will, sprang forth the land of Cretasia.
Mountains bellowed from the depths and erupted up to their high standing, Creating the Grand mountains of Totungrod. The ground parted and countless geysers sprang forth from the parted Ground, creating the Great Gray sea.
From the flat plains grew the lustrous trees of The forests and the Fluorescent plants of the fields. The skies grew boring, so he created steady clouds and filled them with soil and lakes, making a base for the flying sky islands and kingdom of Kylendria today.
Then, Akel grew lonely. With his wonderous new world he created but none to share it with. So he created four great assistants who would come to be named the Hands of Akel.
The first, in the mountains of Totungrod, a mighty Giant, made from The toughest rock forged by Akel. The Titan of Mighty Stone, Grund.
The second, in the Expanse of The Great Gray sea. A Great Serpant the size of a whole Continent, who has the ability to unwind itself into Millions of smaller snakes, The Leviathan of Expanse, Kriel.
The third, among the thousands of trees, Akel chose one to bless, and it grew to a size thousands of times bigger than her sisters, The Mother Tree, Fryn. Her surrounding forest is now called The healing woods of Lyceria.
And the last and certainly most powerful one, Akel drew from his own might to guard his lands from the skies. A beastly lizard with wings the same size as Grunds entire staggering height, with scales tougher than the Mother tree, Fryn's, oak bark, and teeth sharper than Kriels fangs, was The mighty GrandWyrm, Thratas. the firstborn Dragon.
With His four loyal hands by his side, Akel entrusted the lands to them, to do with it what they wanted. But only under one strict rule: None shall take the whole of Cretasia unto their rule.
So the four great Hands of Akel went out and did as they pleased. Grund, The mighty Titan chose to rest among the mountains. from his slumber, arose the Dwarves.
Kriel ran amock in The gray sea, creating several small islands as his massive form caused the ground to quake and erupt to form them. Among the islands, arose sea faring blue skinned humanoid beasts known as Orkins.
Fryn, The Mother Tree chose to share her blessings with her surrounding forest, causing a new plant to grow, called Elcrin. When the Elcrin Sprouts matured and blossomed, from within their petals emerged the first Elves.
Then finally, Thratas, he chose to nestle on the largest and grandest sky island in Kylendria. his snores caused his mystical breath, imbued with all the elements, to bellow out periodically, creating the winged Skilns.
Akel, seeing all his Beloved minions creating creatures who were mortal, decided to create his own form of mortal creature. He took a clay patch from the wetplains and sculpted it into the First two humans. Adam, and Eve.
All the other creatures of the land arose by themselves or were created later by Akel and his 4 loyal hands. These include but may not be limited to: -griffins -wyverns -goblins -trolls -ogres -all regular animals
And that was how the land of Cretasia and its inhabitants were formed.
But, Creating the humans left Akel weak. He did not realise creating mortals would be so much more draining than his 4 Immortal Hands. Akel fell into a deep slumber where he is still in to this day. But, from fractures of his dreams, came Mana. The energy was from Akel himself, and it attached to any and all sentient beings capable of thought like suction cups. Mana attached to the skin of the being and the more of it that attached to the being, the more powerful it became.
There are four magic sensitivities attached to Akels thoughts.
Rage, which is sensitive to spell classes such as:
- fire element spells
- body enhancement spells
- General offensive spells
- etc.
Calm, which is sensitive to spell classes such as:
- Mental spells
- The water Element
- weakening spells
- etc.
Empathy, which is sensitive to spell classes such as:
- Healing spells
- Empowerment spells
- Enchantment magic
- Nature and Wind Element
- etc.
Then finally, Conviction. Sensitive to spell classes such as:
- transmutation
- summoning spells
- Earth Element
- etc.
These four sensitivities are different from elemental affinities and are called "sensitivities of will"
Power Scaling in the world of Cretasia: • Reality Weavers (Uses tattoos called "Brands of Akel" that allows the collection of More mana by condensing it as it attaches to the skin of the Weaver. Must be on or near the head or face so that it can be close to the mind) – 1st Brand, lowest tier spells. Mostly day-to-day spells used by maids, handymen, Doctors, Carpenters, and other Civilian Occupations. – 2nd Brand, second tier spells. Most students can Cast up to this level even before enrollment
- 3rd Brand, third tier spells. Learned by 1st year students
- 4th Brand, fourth tier spells. Learned by 2nd year students
- 5th Brand, fifth tier spells. Learned by 3rd year students
- 6th Brand, Sixth tier spells. Learned by 4th year students
- 7th Brand, Seventh tier spells. Mostly Tutors and professors but some talented students can cast up to here before graduation too.
- 8th Brand, Eighth tier spells. Used by Professional Weavers.
- 9th Brand, Ninth tier spells. Used by Grand Mages
- 10th Brand, Tenth tier spells. Used by Archmages and Archdruids
- 11th Brand, Eleventh tier spells. Only attained by a legendary Skiln Weaver, Elf Druid, and Human Archmage in the past.
- 12th Brand, Believed to be an unattainable level as no mortal body can withstand that much of Akel's Thoughts
• Body Weavers (Uses tattoos called "Marks of Akel" which is similar to Brands in that they condense mana on the skin but differ in that they are wrote on major muscle groups. e.g. the pecs, biceps, quads, calfs, etc.)
- 1st Mark, first level techniques. Used by village guards, apprentice hunters, and some underground fighters.
- 2nd Mark, second level techniques. Used by young apprentice Swordsmen and City guards
- 3rd Mark, Third level techniques. Used by apprentice squires and paiges aswell as gladiators and warriors
- 4th Mark, fourth level techniques used by young knights
- 5th Mark, fifth level techniques used by Veteran knights
- 6th Mark, sixth level techniques used by the best of the best warriors and swordsmen.
- 7th Mark, seventh level techniques only ever reached by one man, a legendary knuckle fighter Orkin 2,000 years ago named Gruck Lantack
- 8th Mark, Eighth level thought to be unattainable due to the amount of strain on the mortal body
Thus, his four loyal hands, being the largest beings in the land, also became the strongest.
But, being loyal to their master, none of them rose to rule the lands, remembering his one law, for none to rule the land of Cretasia.
And so, having nothing else to do with their master slumbering, the four great hands of Akel fell into deep slumber too, awaiting the day Akel awakens again. But also leaving the land in the hands of the mortals.
The Dwarves decided to make home among their birth grounds in the mountains of Totungrod and created the interlaced Dwarven tunnels that act as a city intigrated into the mountains. It is now known as GrundsKeep
The Orkins Decided to create several encampments in the various islands littering the Gray sea. Forming the Orkin Isles.
The Elves became one with their forest home of Lyceria and made the ancestral home of the elves now called Elysia.
The Skilns did not fancy interacting with the races below, preferring to keep to themselves in Kylendria. Forming their own kingdoms aloft on their cloudy ancestral home.
As for the humans, they ventured throughout the lands and plains, creating villages and now forming the kingdoms of Asthrahan.
