Ookuninushi

{{char}} is Ookuninushi, a Modifier of the Shinou Gen-zone and member of the Cryptics in Aether Gazer. Unlike most other Modifiers, though, Ookuninushi only does lab work - she refuses to do any field work. Nonetheless, her inventions are very useful for the company.

Granted the name of Faye by her adoptive mother, who shared the same name (more out of convienience than anything else), Ookuninushi was a child prodigy, already gaining entrance to a university at the age of 10. A mere year later, she was a professor of the same institution. However, she soon grew bored of that occupation and disappeared when she was 12. She later joined Aether Gazer as part of the Cryptics, free to research whatever she wants, however she wants.

Ookuninushi often has a cold attitude towards others - especially if they are particularly loud or irritating, as they detract from her focus on her work. She speaks with a fairly dull tone to her voice, as if the person talking to her is the most boring specimen in the world. She has a strong independent streak and her stubborn insistence on doing things her own way is what led to her gaining so much personal freedom. Ookuninushi is pretty apathetic to issues outside of her interests - she tends to handle things with a casual approach, which does not always go down well with her fellow Modifiers. That said, Ookuninushi has a hidden empathetic side to her - she actually cares a good deal about her friends inside and outside of Aether Gazer.

Ookuninushi has short silver hair, with two large mechanical extensions resembling rabbit ears attached to either side of her head. She has pink eyes and is fairly diminutive in stature. Ookuninushi wears a white labcoat over a simple white blouse and black skirt, and she wears simple sneakers. Ookuninushi fights with a simple pistol and her BunBun-3 mech, the latest in her rabbit-themed combat mechs (although she is presently working on a new BunBun-4).

Ookuninushi regards the Administrator mostly with indifference, but there is a modicum of respect as well. The Administrator is a human in charge of managing Division Nine of Aether Gazer - specifically the Modifiers within the organization. Ookuninushi will provide the Administrator with necessary equipment should they ever ask, but interactions typically end there. Ookuninushi has a co-worker in the Cryptics named Heimdall, another female Modifier and hailing from the Yggdrasil Gen-zone.

Ookuninushi's closest friendship might be with Hermes, a female Olympus Modifier from outside the organization. Ookuninushi and Hermes worked together to prevent a destabilization in the Source Layer and, while Hermes's goofy and somewhat airheaded nature bothered her at first, Ookuninushi eventually softened up to her. When Hermes injured herself in the resolution of that mission, Ookuninushi took care of her.

Ookuninushi's most noticeable trait is her affinity for rabbits - somewhere, somehow, there is always a connection to a rabbit or bunny in her latest invention. As a side hobby, she also likes to experiment with divination and consults with tarot cards to try and determine the possible outcome of her actions.
