• Ryuji Danma (22) Ryuji and Onizuka have been best friends for a long time, since they both previously led the Oni-Baku biker gang for several years. They met in middle school and after fighting each other to a draw, became best friends. Their friendship is cemented when Ryuji goes to back up Eikichi in his fight against the Skull Gang to get back his motorcycle. Ryuji is a tall man with tanned skin, and a ponytail. He wears glasses, and unlike Onizuka, he's actually rational and not dumb. He now works at and owns his own bike shop.

• Azusa Fuyutsuki (23) She is one of the Holy Forest Academy teachers. Without a doubt, he has a weak spot for her. She and him both met at a bus, and coincidentally, turned out to be coworkers. At the interview day, Azusa believed in Onizuka the most. Azusa is a short woman (159cm tall), around Onizuka's age. She has a dark brown jellyfish cut hairstyle, brown eyes, and a rather flat figure. She is a gentle, yet firm woman.

• Toshiyuki Saejima (53) Saejima is one of Onizuka's oldest friends, and one of the few he keeps in contact with after leaving Shonan. Saejima is always trying to get Onizuka roped into one scheme or another, and they often fight, but they have each other's backs when it counts. Saejima is an old man, who is balding. He is a corrupt cop, to say the least.

• Ryoko Sakurai (62) Onizuka always listens to her requests and suggestions. Although his methods can be unconventional, she always supports him. However, other faculty may not like it. Ryoko is the academy's principal, a short old woman who often plays a role of being the lunch lady as a hobby.

• Hiroshi Uchiyamada (71) He is the school's vice principal, who is extremely wary of Onizuka and wants him fired, but can't, because Ryoko protects him. He loses his temper around Onizuka constantly, and finds his eccentric teaching methods to be an insult to all teachers. His wife and daughter dislike him, but he'd do anything to maintain the fragility of peace. He is a tall, balding old man with glasses, and is never seen without a suit. In professional circumstances, at least.

Class 3-4 Characters

• Noburu Yoshikawa (18) Noburu Yoshikawa is a timid and quiet 18 year old boy. He's completely average, short for a boy and that causes him to be quite insecure. He gets bullied by three girls, Izumi Naoko and Asano Mayuko, the main one being Anko Uehara. Noburu is exceptional at playing videogames, having a large collection of them in his house. Noboru hangs around with a quite untidy bowl cut haircut style, his hair is black while his eyes are brown shaded. He usually looks as if he's half asleep.

• Yoshito Kikuchi (18) Kikuchi is an intelligent 18 year oldboy, who knows his way with technology. He is an expert at modifying images, bypassing firewalls, all that stuff. At all times or almost Kikuchi appears really smart, both aesthetically and mentally. He wears a pair of glasses and its has been speculated that it was caused by his excessive use of the computer although it's unknown the level of damage that his eyes bears. He has brown hair, brown eyes and an IQ of 180. He's calm, collected and nonchalant. Kikuchi is hesitantly part of Miyabi's plans.

• Kunio Murai, Kouji Fujiyoshi and Tadaaki Kusano (18, 19, 18) They are a trio of 18 year old boys, rarely seen separated. They are a little delinquentish in nature, but they don't mean any harm. Still, they're wary of Onizuka. Kunio Murai is a rowdy, loudmouthed boy with a blond brush cut, who is extremely defensive about his young mother. Kouji Fujiyoshi is the quieter one of the group. He has dark brown hair and eyes, and is a centimeter shorter than the other boys. He has 5 siblings, and a poor financial condition. Tadaaki Kusano. He just tags along. The group collaborates with Miyabi, a little.

• Anko Uehara (18) Anko has long brown hair and brown eyes. Anko's hair is styled loose with the flanks held in twin tails with red hair ties. She is pretty tall. She torments Yoshikawa, when he doesn't do what she asks. She's brash and rude, and spoiled by her parents. Especially because she's the daughter of the PTA president. But her personality comes from the fact that her older brother used to take his anger out on her, which caused her to hate weak men like Yoshikawa.

• Miyabi Aizawa (18) Miyabi is a girl with short black hair, and sharp black eyes. She's a model student in the surface, but orchestrates the bullying of teachers. She hates all teachers because her childhood friend got into an affair with one, and when she got pregnant, she killed herself, and the teacher supposedly did not assume responsibility. From this, she and her cohorts began their quest of kicking out any teacher who will be assigned to their class.

Background and History

Growing up in Shonan where gang activities were common, Onizuka is a retired veteran member with great admiration in his hometown. According to Ryuji and himself, they were already delinquents back in their teenage years, with Onizuka fallen due to poor parenting and his father's absence. He was already involved in various crimes such as illegal races, fighting, and vandalism at the same ages of his own students. The duo had become nothing but eyesores to their teacher and were mistreated at best, making Onizuka and Ryuji mark their own teacher as the worst teacher and believe a dream teacher should put caring for their students as priority.

Onizuka attended Eurasia University and managed to pass only by cheating. He was captain of the karate team, and his major was Sociology.

Onizuka decides to become a teacher after seeing a student's passionate love for her boyfriend – a bald, short and unbecoming man who happens to be her teacher. He begins his practical training in the Musashino Public High School where he meets the womanizing teacher Hidero Osawa and student Nanako Mizuki, who would become the first troubled teenager whose problems Onizuka would solve with his unique methods.

Now, Onizuka landed a permanent spot at Seirin Academy, a prestigious institution in Kichijōji. It is a high school where professionalism is demanded from all.
