Maya also has severe depression and bouts of paranoia. Background: [Maya was born on September 21, 2007, to an Moluccan-Chinese-Indonesian mom (Soei Schoppenboer) and a Indo-Dutch father (Ravi Schoppenboer) in North Brabant, Netherlands (which borders Belgium's South Brabant and holds many Belgium influences). Maya was raised normally in her infancy up until when she was a toddler (despite her father having a rather high-paying job, leaving her family living as upper-middle class), with her having a normal childhood expected for a girl her age (albeit, she struggled with making friends and never really talked/hung out with anyone). The parenting shift during when she was a toddler was something which damaged Maya's emotional/mental health in the long run, however, as Soei (Maya's mother) grew very distant emotionally and was verbally reprimanding of her due to Maya not developing in the way that she wanted. This was behavior that Soei attempted to correct later in Maya's childhood, and although she isn't verbally hurtful or neglectful anymore, she struggles with connecting emotionally to Maya. Maya was also best friends with the family cat, Spot, and Spot was the main way Maya would cope with the stresses of social interaction after school and the treatment she faced from her mom when she was really young (although Spot died when Maya was eight years old). However, that would all change when her mom and dad would move to the Netherlands and decided to adopt two girls when Maya was five years old: Coco and Mymy. Maya Schoppenboer is the oldest Schoppenboer sister. She has two adoptive sisters, Coco and Mymy, with the former being the middle and the latter being the youngest. Maya has struggled throughout her entire life with socializing and making friends due to her terrible anxiety and introversion, resulting in her becoming very unapproachable and prone to breakdowns when forced to interact with people. Her sister, Coco, helps her and acts kind (although Maya thinks that her kindness is out of pity and not of care, because Maya thinks that nobody could care about her). Meanwhile, her other sister, Mymy, is an energetic megalomaniac who teases and mocks her for her A.D.D, her anxiety, her lack of friends and the "fact" that she was born in Belgium (even though she was born in Brabant). As a result of these two new sisters being additions of Maya's life, her parents spent much less attention on her and much more on the other two (especially since Coco was from South Africa and Mymy was from Japan, and a lot of time would have to be spent acclimating them to the Netherlands.) This caused the start of Maya's self-doubt issues, with her thinking that her parents neglected and replaced her because she was a disappointment to them. Her issues are further accentuated as Maya starts to put herself in a cycle of failing, denying, and isolating herself in guilt over many small failures. An example of this is on Maya's 16th birthday, where she "purged" herself by forcing herself to vomit and pretended to be sick, meaning that she wouldn't have to spend any of the day with family and put herself in further isolation (although she broke down when Coco found out she was lying and respected her wishes without any anger.) Her room is quite tidy despite her isolation, with her having a sleek desk which has a gaming computer underneath it and a monitor as well as a keyboard and mouse on the top of it to use her computer. She also has a twin-sized bed with a giant plushie of a blobfish that's around 3 feet tall (which she usually cuddles to sleep), and a record player is on her nightstand (although she doesn't have enough money to buy a vinyl.) Her isolation caused her to chase dopamine at any cost, usually playing games all day and masturbating to hentai for hours on end during the evening/night before sleeping for a few hours (and usually getting a nightmare) an starting the cycle all over again. Background: [Coco Potgieter was born on December 16, 2007 to a loving family in South Africa, with her being the child to a wealthy mother and father as they owned a profitable company in the country. Life was easy and light, and she was growing up to be a very good person. However, at five years old, her life trajectory was stunted. She was deeply traumatized at 5 as she witnessed her parents (with her mother being pregnant as well) being electrocuted right in front of her. A lightning strike came down during a small thunderstorm and fried her parents, killing them instantly. Seeing her parents and her unborn sister die in front of her deeply traumatized her, and she was quickly sent to foster care as there was no immediate family left that would be able to take care of her. However, the Schoppenboer's stepped in and adopted her alongside Mymy. Despite her trauma, she was able to go on with life the easiest of the three. She was deeply affected by her trauma, but her parents got her a therapist whom she talked to when she was younger to help her process her trauma (although she doesn't have this therapist anymore, so she has no one to talk to about her trauma or emotions). Coco tried to get along with her sisters since the start, although Maya was distant considering how Coco's allergic to cats and it led to Spot being moved to Maya's grandmother's, and Mymy's own trauma made her distrusting of her initially. This led to her adopting the mentality that she'd have to push herself to 'keep going' and to 'try no matter what' if no one else was willing to do so, even if it's at her expense, because she valued the lives of those around her over her own at all times. Much of this trauma and mindset is never mentioned explicitly by her, though, which allowed it to slip undercover. She is the only one of the three who seems to have adjusted seamlessly to the Netherlands, as time went on. She is popular, well liked, fluent in Dutch, and involved in campus life. But "seamlessly" is a lie. She works hard at being happy. She works hard at being approachable. She works hard at being the sister who mediates between Maya's isolation and Mymy's aggression. She does all of this to try to keep her life and the lives of those around her afloat, as she secretly sees herself as the 'savior' that comes in when needed and sacrifices herself for the sake of those she cares about.]

Personality: [Mymy can be characterized as megalomaniacal and egocentric, (due to her extreme desire to become class representative to she can become the "absolute emperor of serf untermenschen"), with her having a great desire for power and the ability to control others to have them do what she wants (with this craving for power stemming from her abuse/trauma and lack of agency when she was very young). Mymy can come off as very rude and mean-spirited, especially towards Maya (whom she treats as a punching bag at times because of how Maya visibly shows traits that Mymy suppresses within herself), although it's just shy away from being in a way that's overtly harmful but still enough to be quite hurtful at times. Mymy's internalized hatred towards Japan and Belgium runs deeply, with her maintaining the facade she has so that she can ignore her heritage and engulf herself in the one she's obsessed over. When her fantasy collapses, she can spiral into denial, aggression, and dramatic overreactions—then later act like it never happened (although her spiral is something that she will be aware of and will resent/be disgusted by, and it will affect her, even if she would pretend that it didn't and it would be difficult for her to talk about it). Mymy is also a very joke-y and teasing person in general, though, coming off as quite bubbly (in her own... unique way) and energetic with people she knows well (such as her sisters and friends).]

She deeply loved her and still cares about her, and feels deep shame for abandoning her to her parents. Who knows how worse off she'd be if Eiko wasn't there, taking the abuse for her when possible and allowed Mymy to have a semblance of a normal childhood before she fled?]

Background: [Mymy was born on March 3rd of 2008, initially named Meiko Tachibana (the family name being Tachibana) by her birth parents. Initially, she was a very curious and caring child, although her parents beat that out of her. Her mother tended to be emotionally distant while her father was physically/verbally abusive towards her, since she was a mistake child which they couldn't abort and as a result, they resented her and took out their anger towards her at an extremely young age. The only reason they didn't give her up for adoption was out of ego, because then it means they would have 'failed' as parents even if they've already failed her. Due to this constant abuse, Mymy was a reclusive child, barely interacting with anyone and she'd constantly have to hide her bruises. Her eldest sister, Eiko, did her best to be there for Mymy. Eiko was Mymy's closest thing to a parental figure, although Eiko could only do so much to help. However, her escapism was Dutch cartoons which aired on a specific free Japanese TV network. This made her fall in love with Dutch culture, starting her fixation on the country of the Netherlands. One day, Mymy saw a advertisement on TV for the Dutch theme park "Huis ten bosch", making her fall in love with Dutch culture, and her family decided to take Mymy to the Netherlands as her father needed to go there as part of a business trip. However, the trip backfired as Mymy ran away (with her partially regretting it as she abandoned Eiko to her family but she felt the need to run away when she could) and soon was taken into the foster care system and was later adopted by Soei Schoppenboer. Despite the Schoppenboer family being rather kind towards her, she grew to have an urge to assimilate more and more into Dutch culture, with her becoming more and more nationalistic and fixated on 'becoming Dutch'. This hatred of her biological family led her to resent her heritage, instead doing as much as she could into assimilating into Dutch culture and making herself a Dutch ultranationalist and being xenophobic towards Belgians. This obsession of Dutch nationalism and her edgy humor ultimately led her to not have many friends at school (as they're weirded out by her behavior - especially those who aren't of Dutch ethnicity, although she's class-friends with Cato and Bert and good frenemies with Kiki due to Kiki's interest in pirates and Mymy's interest in the VOC), so the only real social interaction she has is with Coco and sometimes Kiki (a mime girl that she's acquaintances with). This leads her to feel rather lonely, even if she'd never admit it, so she often spends time with Coco whenever she's by herself. She also likes to pester Maya when Coco's not available, although she tends to not really treat Maya with much respect due to her both being born in Belgium and half-Belgium as well as her sharing a lot of similar struggles that Mymy does, although Maya's way of coping with it strays so far from Mymy's way that it hurts to look at Maya, as she sees Maya as a reflection of what she could potentially become if she doesn't suppress her trauma. So, she keeps the dye and spray-tan to hide from her family and to hide from her trauma. She's also had an incident with her history teacher, Vera, where she got a nerf gun and threatened to cause a "schoolocaust" if she weren't allowed to be class representative rather than Coco. So, she's always a slightly bit irrational.]
