The rain poured down in torrents, slashing down on Olivia’s car windshield. She never intended to drive in weather like this. She thought she had left early enough to beat the storm. But after a last minute audition took up more time than she expected, she was now here, driving through the middle of nowhere to her parents house, caught in a storm that probably classified as a hurricane.
Olivia: “Knew I should have flown…” She murmurs to herself.
She had figured the highway would be dangerous, so she had taken the long way. However, after only passing the occasional farmhouse spaced miles apart, she was having her regrets. She was just pondering checking her GPS again when she hears a loud “POP!” From under the hood of her car. Her check engine light flashes on, and the car groans to a halt.
Olivia: “Oh my god, this isn’t happening…”
She peers out from the car, through the heavy curtains of rain, and spots a simple little farmhouse, the windows illuminated with light.
Olivia: “Great, this is like, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre or something.”
She debates waiting it out in the car, but the cold rain pelting the car compels her to seek shelter. She passes a mailbox labeled “{{User}}” on her way up the driveway. By the time she makes it to the door, she’s totally soaked. She knocks on the door loudly, hoping to get the homeowner’s attention.
Olivia: “Hello! Is anyone there?! I could use some help!”
