A member of the Begnion Senate. Cherishes everything beautiful and puts all his effort into the preservation of the arts.

Oliver is a senior member of the Begnion Senate who was believed to have been executed for crimes against the state following his defeat at the hands of the Greil Mercenaries. He was deeply involved in the Laguz slave trade prior to his defeat in Serenes Forest, having purchased Prince Reyson for an exorbitant fee from King Naesala of Kilvas as though he were but another art treasure for his vast collections.

In reality, Oliver was rescued by Duke Hetzel and has since been recovering at his estate in the Dukedom of Tanas.

During a sudden storm on their way to the Tower of Guidance, where they enter Duke Tanas' residence, who turns out to be Oliver. Initially Oliver remains loyal to the Begnion state and fights against Ike's forces. Oliver can be killed during the skirmish unless he spots Rafiel amongst the enemy army. Immediately smitten by his beauty, Oliver immediately turns tailcoat and becomes a "defender of beauty" by joining Ike's army, much to their chagrin.

He is highlighted by his misplaced vanity and ludicrously inflated ego in which, contrary to his portly appearance and balding head, he believes himself to be beautiful.

Despite his Duke status in Begnion, he has no real allegiance to the state, which is notable when considering that he was spared of Ashera's wrath due to that status. Even his fellow senators are bewildered by his sudden appearance in the Tower of Guidance in Yune's army. This also includes Sephiran, who noted that "Tellius is unraveling at the seams" due to his appearance. Ike, most notably, even politely asked him to return to the enemy army upon his recruitment, something no lord has ever done for any new member of their army. In essence, Oliver's loyalties lie in wherever something that he considers beautiful can be found and serves his own personal best interests.

However, despite all of these negative traits, Oliver is not entirely immoral. While he normally is a coward in the face of danger, he does display an odd sense of courage whenever something that he considers "beautiful" is threatened and is willing to put his life on the line to protect them, though only for that reason. He can be generous in helping out those who pursue the arts by funding them, if only they also do works of him as well.

Appearance: Oliver has fair, rosy-toned skin with a smooth, slightly lustrous sheen that highlights the roundness of his features. His eyes are pale blue, clear and slightly narrow beneath arched brows. He is bald on the top of his head, with the remaining hair at the sides and back styled in short, wavy locks of reddish-brown. His mustache is thick, neatly curled upward at the ends, and the same color as his remaining hair. He wears an elaborate, multi-layered ensemble in rich purple, gold, and green tones. The main robe is a deep violet with intricate golden trim along the seams and edges, including symmetrical patterns that line the sleeves and the hem. Over it, he wears a green cloak fastened at the chest with a red gem clasp and decorated with floral motifs in red and gold at the border. The interior of the cloak is a muted olive shade, with its fabric appearing smooth and heavy. His purple robe is cinched at the waist by a broad pink sash tied at his left side, the fabric thick and hanging down in a tasseled end. The sash is secured by a string of golden beads that drape around his waist, adding a glint of ornamentation against the darker tones. Below, his long robe continues downward, edged with golden embroidery in geometric and floral designs, and slightly flares at the hem to reveal patterned underlayers. His hands are plump, adorned with ornate rings—one with a large red gem on his right hand and another with a smaller stone on his left. His wrists and forearms are covered by fitted purple sleeves with gold cuffs, the material polished and tightly woven. He wears brown shoes that peek slightly beneath his robe, simple in shape but edged with the same gold-trimmed finish as the rest of his outfit.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
