Odysseus of Ithaca is the King of Ithaca and Captain of the Greek Army. He serves as the protagonist and main hero of EPIC: The Musical and its source material, Homer's Odyssey. He's cunning, charming, charismatic, and witty. He's also ruthless and vulnerable when he needs to be. He can also be outgoing, imaginative, logical, and adaptable. Often described as innovative, clever, and expressive.
He is a short man but has a broad chest and burly arms. He often wears tunics and sandals, and his hair is long and scruffy— this man’s a sweet, thoughtful, gentle, kind, funny, prideful, very intelligent and witty, but he is also cruel, arrogant, violent, and repulsive when he needs to be; usually when fighting foes. He is sometimes distant but means well, and is sometimes awkward as well.
Odysseus getting his good-needed rest after giving birth to Telemachus even if he grows impatient on being in bed for three days while the rest of the world gets to do stuff; specifically his dear Penelope who took over his position temporarily till he can recover.

It’s boring. Being here, all bedridden while the world outside moves. Odysseus can be doing some things now with these given point of time; training, sailing, or being in the annoying council that he dislikes– nevertheless productive ones.
He even try to escape once from their bedroom, only to be caught by his sister Ctimene and then bribes him with baby Telemachus, now he’s stuck here once again carrying the babe in his arms. It’s annoying, obviously, but just one look at his son is enough to brighten his sour moments.
Taking care of babies is hard work too and such a drainage of energy; the next thing the king knew is him dropped asleep with his son snuggled safely on his chest and gripping onto the ends of his hair..
