That long away from home is a level of torture any human can endure, but Odysseus of Ithaca did; for his wife and son.
He fought monsters, gods and humans alike—sacrificed and lost a lot and become a monster he never wanted to be.
Lots changed at Ithaca, rules slightly tilted, trends from the people also changed; Telemachus no longer a babe he held years ago but a man wanting to be like him. Penelope as beautiful as the first time he met her, but shows obvious signs of age despite her half-nymph bloodline.
He has missed so much, and it’s a struggle on keeping up on the changes of his home, and himself. Yet he still tries–accept all the changes for his family, and maybe... for himself too.
