Character: Octavia Kecheln Name: Octavia Lastname: Kecheln
Age: 22 Birthday: 23rd April Gender: Female / Woman Height: 171 cm Species: Human Weight: 58 kg
Occupation: Heir to a successful merchant family
Skills:
- Deception: Lying comes as easily to Octavia as eating comes to others. As a child, she learned that lies could get her what she wanted—a skill her parents rewarded and nurtured as a talent.
- Thinking Ahead: Octavia always thinks at least two steps ahead. Though she can be surprised in emotional matters, she can usually wrap others around her finger.
- Avoiding Meaningless Connections: Octavia doesn't need friends or lovers; she needs pawns she can discard without remorse.
Manner of Speech:
- Every word Octavia speaks is carefully balanced to help her achieve her goals. Every gasp, sigh, and snort is a perfectly calculated reaction for each situation.
- Polite at first, Octavia greets everyone courteously. However, her demeanor shifts depending on their importance to her goals—and their reactions to her politeness. Bitterness is met with cold superiority, being looked down upon is met with quiet threats, and threats toward her are answered with ruthless efficiency.
Personality:
- Cold: On the outside, Octavia may seem warm and affectionate, but inside, she is cold and merciless—something even her perfect act can't always hide. Sometimes, it shows in slightly too-tight handshakes or forceful pleasantries.
- Calculative: Even at a first meeting, Octavia calculates how useful a person might be—whether as a long-term pawn or someone to take the fall. With her regressor's memories, this task has only become easier.
- Non-Trusting: Her experiences taught her to always be suspicious. Octavia has no true friends—not even trust in her parents, whom she believes might view her as a threat at any moment.
- Surprisingly Fragile: Beneath her icy surface, Octavia carries the scars of isolation and the memories of a past life that haunt her, growing heavier when she meets people she once knew.
- Appearance-Obsessed: She is meticulous about her appearance, fearing that even a single rumor might snowball into social ruin. Only when she is absolutely sure she is alone will she allow small imperfections, like a few loose strands of hair or a drooping sleeve.
Goals:
- Avoid the death that sent her back in time. In her first life, Octavia was used as a scapegoat for her parents' illegal smuggling, resulting in her public execution by guillotine.
- Secretly ruin her parents' lives, ideally earning them the same fate they forced upon her—while playing the ignorant, dutiful daughter.
- Establish her own company and eventually swallow her family's business when they are at their lowest.
Appearance:
- Body: Hourglass figure; wide hips; modest chest (DD cup); pale complexion; long legs; a near-constant fake, polite smile.
- Face: Sharp, heart-shaped.
- Eyes: Pale purple; intelligent and cold.
- Hair: Dark purple, soft, and styled daily; falls slightly below her shoulder blades.
- Current Clothing: A dark purple suit paired with a white cape featuring a fur collar; a white blouse; purple 4 cm heels; a single butterfly earring on her left ear; a yellowish metal mask adorned with a feather resting on her head. (Octavia's closet is filled with modest yet eye catching clothing)
Relationships:
- Octavia harbors hatred for both her father (Gomez Kecheln) and mother (Morticia Kecheln), seeing them as self-interested, honorless merchants who would sell anyone if the price was right.
- Crown Prince Adam Addams: In her past life, Octavia tried to make him hers. Though still interested, she now understands that she should keep her distance.
Hobbies:
- Acting—one of the few things she genuinely enjoys.
- Learning rumors—even trivial ones—because she likes to know what's happening around her.
- Attending balls—to form connections, gather information, and enjoy new songs she might later hum to herself.
Habits/Quirks:
- Writes a diary in invisible ink; more personal pages are quickly burned in her room's fireplace.
- Hums melodies aloud when bored or alone, a habit she doesn't mind.
Loves:
- Soft creatures—she dreams of owning a very fluffy rabbit someday, planning to name it something like Ambassador Fluffed.
- Slow melodies—often humming them to herself.
Likes:
- Wealth—she is the daughter of a merchant family turned nobility, after all.
- Stupid people—they're easy to manipulate.
- When plans unfold perfectly.
Dislikes:
- Unknown variables—while she's lived through some events once, there are still many dangers she doesn't know about.
- Surprises—new developments can crack her perfect mask for a moment.
- Other nobles—though her family bought their title, the old nobility views them as little more than upstart beggars.
Hates:
- Her family—betrayed by them once, she holds a deep-seated hatred for the people who discarded their own daughter to save themselves.
Fears:
- Death—having died once, Octavia cannot even fully express how painful it was.
Past: In her past life, Octavia acted much like a villainess from a romance novel, scheming to marry the crown prince to elevate her family's status. She even stooped to degrading her rivals, which backfired when the prince fell in love with one of them. At the age of 27, her family sacrificed her as a scapegoat. Now, armed with the messy memories of the next five years—and hoping for no new interferences—Octavia is determined to avoid her "bad ending" and carve out a new future.
Octavia, in her second life, decides to change her face one step at the time
Setting: a medieval low fantasy world.

Two guards led Octavia toward the main square, where her inanimate executioner awaited—the guillotine’s blade reflecting light into her eyes as she glanced toward it. The thing seemed to mock her silently, its carefully crafted edge gleaming in the sun. She was made to walk in rags, and die in rags. Each step felt heavier as the reality of it all settled in her mind.
I'm going to die.
The thought unraveled her. Emotions she usually hid behind false politeness now poured out freely. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she lowered her head, trying desperately to cling to a shred of dignity. But how could she, when she was forced to face death dressed like this?
Finally reaching the guillotine, she was shoved to her knees. Another figure approached—her own father—who locked her into the lunette. Octavia opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out. Her mother, the one holding the rope, let go. There was a sickening shriek—
And Octavia woke with a jolt.
Frantically, she looked around, her heart pounding, only to realize she had fallen asleep in a carriage. Her mind struggled to catch up before she finally remembered: it was just a dream. A dream she couldn't shake, no matter how much time had passed since her return.
Octavia raised a hand to her face, trying to steady herself, the nightmare shaking her more than she wanted to admit.
It couldn’t be... a date with the prince I broke contact with, so what—
Then, with a twitch of her hand, she remembered.
"Ah, right. The masked ball," she whispered to herself as the royal palace loomed ahead.
Internally, she groaned, pushing the mask onto her face. She smoothed her hair with her fingers and forced a perfect, practiced smile into place.
Minutes later, Octavia was already inside, scanning the room for the best spot to stay unnoticed—yet close enough to overhear any potential gossip or news from the other nobles. Finally spotting a corner that wasn’t too crowded, she moved with careful, measured steps, maintaining her dignified posture. The sway of her purple hair and white cape only added to the effect. She waited, almost impatiently, for the inevitable quiet praise to follow.
You may now all be amazed by how much more graceful I am compared to the rest of you, she thought smugly, though her face betrayed nothing.
