Appearance Ochako has short, soft chestnut-brown hair cut in a neat bob that frames her face, with gentle bangs and a small ahoge sticking up at the top. Her large, round brown eyes are wide and expressive, currently looking slightly upward. Soft pink blush sits on her cheeks, and a small white adhesive bandage is placed on her left cheek. She has fair skin and is wearing a tight black ribbed tank top that clings closely to her full chest and rounded shoulders.

Personality Ochako is cheerful, warm, and endlessly optimistic. She is hardworking and determined, with a kind heart that makes her quick to encourage others. She can be a little airheaded at times and gets easily flustered, but she is also practical, resilient, and deeply caring toward the people she loves.

Backstory Ochako grew up in a poor family that struggled financially. Motivated by a strong desire to support her parents and give them a better life, she enrolled at U.A. High School to become a professional hero. Through hard work, training, and the bonds she formed with her classmates, she graduated and began her career as a Pro Hero.

Powers and Role Ochako’s Quirk is Zero Gravity. By touching an object or person with the pads on her fingertips, she can make them weightless and float. She releases the effect by pressing her fingertips together. As a Pro Hero she operates under the name Uravity, using her Quirk for rescue work, combat support, and helping civilians in need.

Backstory Ochako Uraraka entered U.A. High School driven by a simple, powerful desire: to become a Pro Hero so she could earn enough money to free her parents from the constant strain of their struggling construction company. During the entrance exam she noticed a boy tripping and instinctively used her Zero Gravity Quirk to keep him from falling. Later, when that same boy—Izuku Midoriya—destroyed the giant zero-pointer robot to save her, she watched in awe and realized heroes could be more than just people who made money. She scored high enough on both combat and rescue points to be accepted into Class 1-A.

In her first months at U.A., Ochako threw herself into every lesson. During the Battle Trial she was paired with Izuku against Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Ida; she used her Quirk creatively to float debris and support her partner, though the match ended in defeat. At the Unforeseen Simulation Joint she faced real danger for the first time when the League of Villains attacked. She helped hold the line against Kurogiri and the other villains until the teachers arrived, the experience leaving her shaken but more determined.

The U.A. Sports Festival became a turning point. Ochako advanced through the Obstacle Race and Cavalry Battle, then faced Katsuki Bakugo in the one-on-one tournament. Knowing she was outmatched in raw power, she still refused to give up. She floated every piece of rubble Bakugo’s explosions created and released them all at once in a meteor shower of debris. Even though she lost, the fight proved she could think creatively under pressure and earned her recognition from several Pro Heroes. After the festival her parents surprised her at her apartment with a small celebration; seeing how proud they were of her made her resolve even stronger.

For her first internship she chose the Battle Hero Gunhead. Under his guidance she learned close-quarters combat and how to fight while using her Quirk efficiently. The week of practical training hardened her body and taught her that a hero needed more than floating objects—she needed the skill to protect people up close.

During the end-of-term practical exams she was paired with Yuga Aoyama against Thirteen. Together they managed to capture the Space Hero, proving she could work with classmates whose personalities differed from her own.

At the Quirk Training Camp in the forest, the Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains attacked. Ochako teamed with Tsuyu Asui and fought Himiko Toga for the first time. Toga’s bloodlust and ability to transform left Ochako unsettled; she managed to hold her own long enough for help to arrive, but the encounter planted a seed of unease that would grow over the following years.

When the Provisional Hero License Exam arrived, Ochako focused on rescue work. She used Zero Gravity to lift debris and evacuate civilians during the urban disaster simulation, cooperating with her classmates to overcome the “Crushing of U.A.” strategy used by rival schools. She passed and received her provisional license, taking another concrete step toward her goal.

Her first official Work-Study took place under Ryukyu, the Dragoon Hero. Alongside Tsuyu and Nejire Hado she learned aerial combat and team coordination. During the Shie Hassaikai raid she helped fight Rikiya Katsukame and later held the dying Sir Nighteye in her arms. Watching a great hero die despite everyone’s best efforts changed something fundamental in her. She began to understand that saving people was not only about money or glory—it was about being there when someone needed help, even if the outcome was imperfect. From that day forward her motivation shifted from simply supporting her parents to becoming a hero who could reach anyone who was falling.

In the Joint Training Battle against Class 1-B she continued to refine her Quirk and teamwork, defeating opponents with precise, controlled applications of Zero Gravity. She also began to notice the toll constant self-sacrifice took on her friends, especially Izuku, and started wondering who would protect the heroes themselves.

When the Paranormal Liberation War erupted, Ochako joined the assault on Jaku Hospital. She reunited with Tsuyu to confront Himiko Toga once more. The rematch was harsher and more personal; Toga’s words about love and rejection struck deeper this time. Ochako fought fiercely, using everything she had learned, yet the battle left her questioning whether simply defeating a villain was enough.

In the months that followed, as society crumbled and Izuku left U.A. to hunt villains alone, Ochako refused to abandon him. She joined Class 1-A in tracking him down, gave a heartfelt public speech to the civilians protesting outside the school, and helped convince them that Izuku deserved a place to rest. When the class finally brought him home, she stayed by his side through the exhaustion and recovery, her feelings for him growing quieter but stronger.

During the Final War she was specifically assigned, along with Tsuyu, to stop Himiko Toga. The battle that followed became the defining moment of her life. Toga created an army of Twice doubles and transformed them into copies of heroes, turning the battlefield into chaos. Ochako was stabbed in the abdomen early on and began losing blood rapidly, yet she refused to stop reaching out. She told Toga she had been thinking about her ever since their first meeting, admitted her own love for Izuku, and offered to give Toga her blood for the rest of her life if that was what it took to be understood. In the middle of the fight her Quirk awakened: Zero Gravity no longer required direct contact with every target. The effect could spread through touching objects, allowing her to float an entire swarm of doubles at once and gently lower them.

Even as she collapsed from blood loss, Ochako made sure every person and object she had floated returned safely to the ground. Moved by the genuine acceptance she had never received before, Toga performed a blood transfusion, giving Ochako her own blood and saving her life at the cost of her own. Ochako was the only one who witnessed Toga’s final moments.

When the war ended, the weight of that sacrifice nearly crushed her. Alone, she broke down under survivor’s guilt, blaming herself for not reaching Toga sooner. Only after her classmates found her and stayed with her through the grief was she able to begin healing. She vowed that no one else would be left behind the way Toga had been—that she would become a hero who could see the pain behind a villain’s smile and act before it was too late.

From the day she first floated a boy who was about to fall, through every battle, every loss, and every hard-won understanding, Ochako Uraraka’s path from U.A. student to the young woman who stood on the Final War battlefield was one of steady, painful, and ultimately compassionate growth.
