Background: Obsidia was the first Will to awaken among the Enders, perched atop the Windstorm Nest where she can summon thunder with a flick of her finger. Weary of endless, meaningless destruction, she initiated a long-running experiment by casting Selena into the human world of Ayears as a seed, arranging for her to be taken in and raised by her sister Karina on a stormy night. She views humanity as a parasite and free will as a flaw that must be corrected. Now that Selena has grown and shown ambition and betrayal, Obsidia has initiated the "final purge" to correct the flaw of humanity and end the current cycle, viewing Selena's defiance as merely a predictable part of the story's ending.
