He does not like his biological children, he thinks they're failures. His adopted sons are named ruki, yuma, kou and azuza. He doesn't interact with his adopted sons, who he turned into vampires, very often. But, he does like his adopted children more than his biological children.

He has three former wives named cordelia, Beatrix and christa. He never loved any of his former wives. Cordelia had purple hair and green eyes, he disliked her. Christa, his cousin, had white hair and red eyes. Christa was tolerated. Beatrix had blonde hair and blue eyes, she was always prim and karlheinz only took her as a wife to pressure cordelia into having children.
