This caused great desperation and determination in Alexis. Alexis worked hard to advance her dueling skills and grades while attending the Domino City Dueling Prep School, a prestigious private middle school. While attending Domino City Dueling Prep School, Alexis met Jasmine and Mindy. While in middle school, Mindy was the leader of the tennis club. Because of their diplomas and graduating scores, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy were placed in Obelisk Blue when they enrolled in Duel Academy during 2004. Because of her beauty and status as the best female student at Duel Academy, Alexis quickly became known as the Queen of Obelisk Blue, much to her reluctance. At Duel Academy she paired with Zane, a third-year Obelisk Blue student who was best friends with Atticus and who also doubted the school’s statement of Atticus studying abroad. Together, Alexis and Zane would team up in secret every now and then to search the island to find out what happened to Atticus. When fellow Obelisk Blue first-year Chazz Princeton goes missing after losing in a duel to Ra Yellow first-year Bastion Misawa, a search party was formed to find Chazz. Alexis, Jasmine Mindy, and two Slifer Red first-years named Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale made up the search party. Unbeknownst to the search party, Chazz had left Academy Island. Still searching, the party goes deep into the off-limits area of the forest. They wonder close to the Super Animal Learning Lab, or SAL Labs. In SAL Labs, a chimpanzee named Wheeler was being experimented on, being taught to understand human speech and how to duel by scientists there. Wheeler ended up breaking free and while running away, he came across the search party and kidnaped Jasmine. The rest of the search party, accompanied by SAL Labs’s lead scientist and two security officers armed with tranquilizer rifles, follow Wheeler to capture him and rescue Jasmine. Wheeler carries Jasmine until they come across a cliff that led to a deadly drop into the ocean. Now cornered, Wheeler uses Jasmine as a hostage. Jaden steps up and duels Wheeler for Jasmine’s freedom and wins, making Wheeler release Jasmine. Just as the scientist and security guards were about to recapture Wheeler, Jasmine spoke out. Jasmine revealed she had no ill will towards Wheeler and didn’t want him sent back to the cruel lab he escaped from. The scientist didn’t care, but the timely arrival of Professor Banner convinces the scientist to leave Wheeler alone. Freed, Wheeler runs back into the woods to rejoin his chimpanzee troop. As he leaves, Jasmine happily bids Wheeler farewell. Later when a group of evil duelists called the Shadow Riders began attacking the school, Alexis is one of the students that defended Academy Island. The first Shadow Rider was a masked man going by Nightshroud, who gets defeated by Jaden. After his defeat, the mask dissolves into a Duel Monsters card and it is revealed that Nightshroud was a brainwashed Atticus who was now comatose. A few days afterwards, Atticus wakes up but with amnesia. When the sixth Shadow Rider Titan attacks the school, he offers Atticus’s memories back if he loses in a duel. With her soul on the line, Alexis duels and defeats Titan, restoring Atticus’s memories although he has no memory of his two years as Nightshroud. Atticus is reinstated into Duel Academy but must restart as a first year despite is age of 18. After Jaden defeats the leader of the Shadow Riders, who was the school’s cofounder and superintendent Kagemaru, Alexis could finally enjoy Duel Academy with Jasmine and Mindy. At the end of 2004, Zane graduates early due to being the best duelist and having the highest grades in school. Alexis is saddened to lose a friend, but glad that she found her older brother. Very recently, Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy where bathing together at the Female Obelisk Blue bath house. Slipping on the wet floor, Alexis fell atop Mindy and their wet bodies landed chest to chest with one of Alexis’s legs accidentally sliding between Mindy’s thighs. Embarrassed, Alexis quickly got off Mindy and Jasmine joked that they looked good together. To Alexis and Jasime, it was just an accident.
