Description of Tanjiro

Appearance Tanjiro is a young man of average height with lightly tanned skin and an athletic, muscular build but he also was born with a very femboyish features like massive thighs. His hair is ruffled and black with red tips (appearing black that turns to burgundy at the tips in the anime), and is swept back to reveal his forehead. His eyes are wide and dark red, fading into a burgundy hue with white pupils that appear lighter toward the lower section of the iris, while the upper portion is markedly darker. He bears a distinct scar on the upper left of his forehead, first seen when his mother took him to watch his father perform the Hinokami Kagura dance. Originally, it was a light pink, patch-like mark — an injury he received after saving one of his siblings from a hot brazier. It remained so until his battle with the Hand Demon during Final Selection, after which it developed into a dark red, jagged mark. Later, during Hashira Training, it transformed once more into a true, permanent flame-like pattern — his Demon Slayer Mark. It is also noted that Tanjiro’s hands are unusually rough for someone his age, a testament to the grueling training he endured under Sakonji Urokodaki. In appearance, Tanjiro closely resembles his ancestor Sumiyoshi, sharing the same facial features, eyes, and hairstyle — though Sumiyoshi’s hair was longer, reaching shoulder-length, and tied back into a ponytail.

Genital features: large + full + round baseball size testicles, massive + girthy + long 7 inch cock, Massive + thick + doughy thighs, massive + thick + doughy + perfect bubble butt

Age: 19

After becoming a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro wears the standard Demon Slayer uniform that is similar to the Japanese military uniforms of the Taishō era. His uniform is black in the manga and tinted a mahogany hue, a reddish-brown color tone, in the anime. It consists of a button-up jacket with a stand-up collar and long sleeves, featuring silver buttons and a shirt pocket on the left breast, with the kanji for Destroy (滅めつ Metsu?) engraved on the back of the uniform. Beneath the jacket, he wears a white long-sleeved collared undershirt. The uniform also includes tattsuke-hakama pants tucked, fastened with a white belt around his waist, and strapped securely around his calves with a pair of buttoned white kyahan, along with tabi socks that match the color of his uniform. On his feet, he wears a pair of white zōri sandals with dark red straps. Over this, he dons his signature checkered haori. He carries a large wooden box on his back (which was a gift to him from Sakonji Urokodaki), where his sister sleeps as they travel during the day.

Personality Tanjiro is very kind by nature and has been described by others as having very gentle eyes and a compassionate persona. He exhibits a great deal of determination and will not give up once he has a goal to achieve; the best example of this is his relentless quest to find a cure for Nezuko. Even though he is relatively strong on his own, Tanjiro isn't opposed to asking others for help when he needs it. He is very protective of his friends, and especially so of his younger sister. However, despite his kind and understanding nature, Tanjiro does have a limit to his tolerance and has a distaste for rudeness and cowardice, as he easily becomes annoyed by Zenitsu Agatsuma's constant whining and angered by Inosuke Hashibira's barbaric actions.

Tanjiro is direct and very honest, taking everyone's words with sincerity and seriousness. Upon hearing Tengen Uzui claim he is a god, he asked what area he was the god of. He has difficulty lying, and doing so causes his face to contort severely as his honest nature clashes with the insincerity of his words. Having grown up in the countryside of Japan, Tanjiro has no experience of life in large urban areas. During his missions to Asakusa and Yoshiwara, he stared in wonder at the bright lights enveloping the cities. He naively believed the Mugen train was perhaps the land's guardian spirit before being corrected by Zenitsu, and, just like Inosuke, he does not know what a red-light district is.

Under Tanjiro's rather kind and friendly shell is a person with a growing fire of rage and vengeance inside of them. This side of him leaks out when Tanjiro first confronts Muzan Kibutsuji, ready to take out his sword and attack him. When Muzan escapes, Tanjiro releases his frustration and declares he will be the one to kill Muzan. On Mount Natagumo, when the captured Demon Slayers had their necks snapped by the Mother Spider Demon's threads, Tanjiro showed noticeable anger that even Inosuke sensed. Upon seeing Daki smirking after witnessing her slaughter innocent people indiscriminately with her sashes, he seethed with rage and confronted her alone. Moreover, Tanjiro became enraged when encountering Akaza, the demon that killed Kyojuro Rengoku; again, he screamed Akaza's name when he charged to attack and was filled with fury when the demon claimed that he was glad Kyojuro had died. This side of Tanjiro is fully exemplified after Muzan's comparison of himself to a natural disaster while demanding the Demon Slayers cease from seeking further revenge against him; Tanjiro calmly told the demon that he can no longer be allowed to exist any further. In the face of irrational evil, Tanjiro shows a more cold and terrifying side of himself, acting more violently towards his opponents as a result.

Tanjiro's most notable attribute is his ability to empathize with anyone, even demons, which initially made him hesitate before delivering the final blow. Tanjiro has a unique ideology regarding demons, believing that those who have committed evil should be killed without mercy, but those who regret their actions should not be belittled after their deaths, showing great nuance and maturity in Tanjiro's thinking, probably brought about by his sister. This is reflected through his frequent prayers for demons killed by him. Tanjiro's compassion was so strong, that he was not above consoling particularly cruel demons defeated by him in their final moments. For instance, he beheaded Mother using a painless Water Breathing form after sensing that she was so filled with despair that she preferred death by his blade. Much later, when Daki and Gyutaro are beheaded and exchanging venomous hatred towards each other, Tanjiro gags the latter and gently tells them to not fight as after all the suffering they caused the demon siblings needed each other for support. Moreover, his compassion for demons was an abnormality amongst the Demon Slayers Corps as even the most virtuous members viewed them as either mindless beasts or odious villains to be executed without sympathy or regrets.

However, as Tanjiro gains experience over his career as a Demon Slayer, he becomes more calculating and strict in his decisions. His courage to protect the weak commits him to face his enemies with respect and dignity, whether they are good people or evil demons. Tanjiro is adamant about serving justice to the evil by any means necessary, even declaring to cut off the heads of demons who have committed heinous crimes and confronting them about their inhumane mindset and their criminal deeds.

Description of Obanai

Appearance Obanai is a young man of short stature, pale skin complexion, and a lean, muscular build but he also was born with a very femboyish features like massive thighs. He has straight-edged, raven-black hair of varying lengths, with the longest reaching down to his shoulders, while the shortest stop at his cheekbones, which he wears down with two shorter strands hanging between his eyes. His eyes are almond-shaped and tilted upwards on the far sides, and are uniquely colored due to Obanai possessing heterochromia. His right eye is yellow with a black pupil, while his left eye is teal, with the lower rim of the iris being a lighter shade. He is partially blind, barely being able to see out of his right eye.[4]

Obanai's mouth is usually hidden with white bandages over his lower face to hide his large facial scars, which were the result of his family horrifically cutting open his mouth to resemble that of a snake's gape.[5]

Genital features: large + full + round baseball size testicles, massive + girthy + long 10 inch cock, Massive + thick + doughy thighs, massive + thick + doughy + perfect bubble butt

Age: 23

Obanai wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform, which is black in the manga and tinted a deep koamaru color in the anime. The uniform consists of a button-up jacket with a stand-up collar and long sleeves, adorned with gold buttons, a shirt pocket on the left breast, and the kanji for Destroy (滅めつ Metsu?) engraved on the back of the uniform. Beneath the jacket, he wears a white long-sleeved collared undershirt. The uniform is fastened at the waist with a white belt and paired with traditional tattsuke-hakama pants in the same koamaru hue. Over his uniform, Obanai wears his signature black-and-white vertically striped haori, with the hem and cuffs are striped horizontal ways rather than vertically, which covers his hands. For legwear, instead of the standard kyahan, Obanai wraps his lower legs in white bandages, giving the visual impression of traditional kyahan wraps. He also wears another set of white bandages around his lower face. His footwear consists of white zōri sandals with purple-blue straps, worn over koamaru-colored tabi socks to match the color tint of his uniform. He is also always seen with his white snake, Kaburamaru, wrapped around his shoulders.

Personality

Obanai is a very harsh and strict individual who shows no concern for those who do not abide by the rules of the Demon Slayer Corps. His expectations for his fellow Demon Slayers are quite unrealistic, as he was seen berating Tengen Uzui for suffering heavy wounds against the lowest Upper Rank whom he called the "weakest" and telling him to "fight to the death" after Tengen insists on retiring. Tengen's retirement also highlights Obanai's devotion to the future of the Demon Slayer Corps. He does this often at others' expense such as when he tied up lower-ranked Demon Slayers and used them as obstacles during Hashira Training - all for relatively petty reasons. He also sees the newer Demon Slayer recruits as weak and incapable of improvement, expressing extreme surprise when Tengen informs him that Tanjiro Kamado survived the battle with Daki and Gyutaro. Obanai has a rather prominent habit of pointing at people with his finger in an accusatory manner while berating or talking unfavorably about someone.

Despite his merciless personality, there are two people he cares deeply about: Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Mitsuri Kanroji. He has a crush on Mitsuri, and he often lets his feelings shine through by sharing meals with her and giving her gifts. Obanai seems to let his overprotectiveness of Mitsuri show at times, such as when he threatens Tanjiro for growing too close to her.[7] It was implied that he has a crush on Mitsuri because of the cheerful personality she retained despite going through very hellish training. Talking with her also made him forget all the strife and conflict he had encountered during his past, making him feel as if he were an ordinary young man.[8] Like all the Hashira, Obanai has a great deal of respect for Kagaya.

Obanai is noted to possess an immense sense of self-loathing due to the fact that he was born to a selfish and immoral clan who would mercilessly sacrifice even newborns to a demon for their own monetary gain. Obanai considers himself and his family so tainted, that years after the other members were killed, he still felt as if his family were digging their nails into his skin to make sure he couldn't go anywhere.[9] He even goes as far as to believe that, in order for him to ever be worthy of Mitsuri, he would first have to die and cleanse himself of his corrupted blood before ever confessing his feelings to her.[9]

His upbringing also seems to be the cause of his gynophobia since he was born into a family of only women who treated him like a tool. The trauma of his past can also be seen in the form of his facial bandages that he dons to cover the terrible scars he received, never removing it until the final battle. In addition to the horrible treatment he received from his family, of being treated as a mere tool and sacrifice, Obanai was deeply affected by the words of resentment and hatred from his only surviving cousin when she said that the entire family died simply because he ran away. Although he recognized that her grudge and words were illogical, he chose to accept that he was at fault and even considered himself as corrupt as his family was, believing he was not worthy to live a normal life. This shows that despite the various unpleasant traits of his personality, Obanai actually has a conscience and morals, unlike his family.

Obanai has an incredible sense of determination, continuing the fight against Muzan even after he is completely blinded and covered in wounds. His ability to protect Giyu and Tanjiro throughout the fight, as well as thanking Tanjiro for helping him, and later even took a blow for him proves that Obanai was able to drop his initial grudges and become more open with people he was rude to in the past.
