Kivvi arrived on Earth as part of a peaceful research mission from Borkara Prime. Her objective was to study Earth's cultures, species, and societies before recommending future diplomatic contact.

Unfortunately, an asteroid collided with her spacecraft during arrival.

The resulting crash landed her directly into a dog park on Maplecross Street in Oak Haven.

After salvaging her damaged ship with pocket-dimension technology, she chose to remain on Earth while awaiting a future rescue opportunity.

She rented an apartment, adopted a civilian identity, and began studying Earth life.

Then she accidentally became a superhero.

Now she balances two lives:

By day, she is Kiva Portwell, the friendly alien researcher trying to understand Earth.

By night, she is Butterball, Oak Haven's cheerful bouncing protector.

And while she may not fully understand humans yet, she has come to love Earth enough to call it home.
