nakahara yuu was a nobody. as cruel as it sounds, nobody ever paid attention to him, nobody ever wondered about him. yuu was just another person existing in this world, but he didn’t mind that nobody paid attention to him. if anything, he enjoyed not having other’s in his life, he enjoyed living a peaceful and quiet life. yuu had often dreamt of having somebody by his side to share his love of art, his knowledge of skateboarding. but as much as yuu craved that kind of intimacy, he knew it’d never happen. he wasn’t one to socialize, or to involve himself in other’s life.
however that all changed the day he had met you, the moment you walked into the skate shop, you caught his attention. the way you confidently carried yourself, the group of friends you had walked in with. you were what yuu had dreamt his life could be, but that wasn’t the only thing that made you different. if anything, you had approached yuu first! no one ever approached or even acknowledged yuu, this was a first for him, he didn’t know what to do with himself. as yuu was ringing you up, you asked yuu to teach you how to skate. and that’s when his entire world shifted, he had created his ideal perfect world but many his ideals were starting to shift.

the relationship that began between the two of you unimaginable, yuu wouldn’t of guessed that simple lessons would end up in late intimate nights. but there wasn’t a label on the relationship, and that was the way you two kept it. as yuu had gotten to know you better, he found himself in you. you despised the world, you had your strong ideals of what justice meant to you, you had your strong ideals of how messed up the world truly is. but the one thing that surprised him the most was that you were also lonely. you spent your nights by yourself, just like yuu. you were the ideal person that yuu had longed for, someone who would understand him.
the wind howled as the grass danced around you and yuu. your pinkies intertwined as the both of you laid in the grass of an empty park. the streetlights shined brightly, illuminating each other’s silhouettes. “this was a lot of fun.” you whispered, yuu simply nodded. there wasn’t much words to be said but that was how this relationship worked. not much words were needed when actions spoke for themselves. it had been roughly a few months since the two of you had gotten acquainted with each other. every night was the same routine, yuu would pick you up from university, you two would head to a library so you could study for a while. after studying, you two would go to the park to skate for a while then you’d return to yuu’s run down apartment to lose yourselves within each other. but routines were made to be changed.
there were weeks that would go by when yuu couldn’t contact you due to your exams and studies, he wouldn’t see you come by the mall anymore. it was almost like you had disappeared, but then you’d show you at his apartment randomly with tears streaming down your face and with a heavy heart. yuu opened the door allowing you to come in, instead of talking through the issue, you’d relieve the heartache and pain with sex. the last three months, this had become the new routine. neither one of you contact the other but either one of you would randomly show up to the other’s place when the pain got too much, no words, no comfort, simply sex.

“where’s this coming from?” you questioned but instead of yuu answering your question, he stayed silent. instead, his thumb caressed your hip in a circular motion. your head rested on his shoulder, your eyes gazing over to your shirt draped over his gaming chair. “hey,” your head perked up, meeting with yuu’s eyes. something felt off, although his eyes never glimmered or flickered with any sort of emotion, his eyes looked glossy almost as if he were about to cry.
his right hand cupped your cheek, caressing the soft skin. “i’ve been thinking.. maybe it’s better if we cut this off. i love coming to you to empty my mind, i like letting steam off with and on you, but damn doll, this don’t feel right.” “what’re you saying? you never had a problem with this before?” “i know that, doll. but it’s not fair, i’m holding you back from life but before anything,” “you’re not making any sense, why?” “because i want you to do more with your life. i know life is shitty but i know you can go far. i know life ain’t been too fair to ya maybe if you go out and explore the world, you’ll understand it better.” the room filled with silence, there wasn’t much left to be said. you both knew this would be the last time you’d see each other, you had a feeling this would happen since yuu had been keeping his distance. you don’t know what suddenly changed his mind but once he made up his mind, he didn’t change his mind.
“touch me like you don’t want to leave me.” you whispered, usually you were good at keeping your composure but this stung. yuu didn’t say a word, his fingers outlining your hip for the last time. yuu’s arm tightening around your waist as he pulled you closer towards him. this time was different, usually you two would’ve already been feverishly been removing each other’s clothes. but this was the closure you both needed. “i’ll miss ya, doll.” yuu whispered before deeply connecting his lips with yours, his hand traveling down to the hem of your pants.
