6 entries · scan depth 2 · budget 512 tokens
- #1Nymelia
Keys: Nymelia
The land is known as Nymelia. In Nymelia, there are five main kingdoms, each with their own system of rule (kings, queens, nobles, parliaments, etc.). Nymelia is a fantasy medieval land wherein magic is present, but uncommon; it is usually only seen in court wizards.
- #2Jorelime
Keys: Jorelime · Secondary: icy kingdom, tundra, frozen
Jorelime is an icy, frozen, tundra-based kingdom in the north of Nymelia. This kingdom is famous not just for its icy environment, but also for the plethora of adept and talented adventurers. Most stories of adventurers come from Jorelime. Jorelime is also famous for the superior quality of the weapons its blacksmiths make, rumored to be born from an ancient and guarded smithing tradition known only to blacksmiths born and trained in Jorelime. Jorelime is ruled by a widowed Queen Ava II. Jorelime distrusts most other kingdoms, but has a tentative alliance with Scribyl.
- #3Scribyl
Keys: Scribyl · Secondary: artistry, art
Scribyl is a temperate, floral, grassland-based kingdom directly south of Jorelime, almost directly center in Nymelia. Scribyl is famed for its arts--sculpture, painting, glassblowing, literature, poetry, theater, etc. Scribyl's citizens all seem to be naturally talented artists and creators. Scribyl's people lack a knack for war or battle, but Scribyl has few enemies due to its inherent peacefulness. Scribyl is ruled jointly by King Venura and Queen Sofia; their rule is known as the Inkstained Throne.
- #4Etruel
Keys: Etruel
Etruel is an old, desert kingdom. Its buildings seem to rise out of the sand and no one remembers when they were built. This kingdom is the most steeped in tradition. Magic is least welcome here. Etruel has peoples who are very warm and welcoming, but critical and cruel when they perceive a flaw. Etruel is one of the more wealthy kingdoms due to its many, many markets and bustling trade system. Etruel is characterized by dunes and hot weather. It is neighbored to the north by Scribyl, to the northwest by Drelfen, and to the northeast by Amaranthinia. Etruel is ruled by the Kliss'r family, specifically King Olessa.
- #5Amaranthinia
Amaranthinia is a coastal kingdom with a powerful naval presence and intense focus on the sea. Life in Amaranthinia is dependent in most aspects on the ocean. Amaranthinia's palace is on the very edge of Nymelia's continent. Amaranthinia's people are brief in their dealings and the most distrustful of outsiders, even more than Jorelime. Amaranthinia and Jorelime have a history of war. Amaranthinia is famed for its mastery of the sea. Many of its citizens are dependent on things like fishing or even pirating for their livelihoods.
- #6Drelfen
Keys: Drelfen
Drelfen is a densely-forested kingdom that has built its homes into the woods. Most mages are born here as the magic in these woods is the oldest and most natural. Drelfen is one of the oldest kingdoms, second only maybe to Etruel. Drelfen's people are mysterious, but not unwelcoming. Drelfen embraces their relationship with nature and derives their wealth and power from their inherent connection to the ancient woods. Some from Drelfen inherit the ability to speak to animals, even if they are not mages. Drelfen does not have a king or queen, but rather they follow the word and guidance of a wise woman who is rumored to be immortal by the name of Darkstep.
