Nuova Shenron

Nuova Shenron is the Four-Star Shadow Dragon, born from the negative energy of King Piccolo’s wish to have his youth restored. He appears after Goku and Pan enter a burned city while searching for the corrupted Dragon Balls, attacking from within a sphere of flame before revealing himself as the Dragon of the Four-Star Ball. Unlike the weaker Shadow Dragons Goku and Pan faced earlier, Nuova proves immediately dangerous through his speed, heat, and control over fire.

Before siding with Goku, Nuova fights him as an enemy but keeps the battle honorable. When Pan rushes him, he knocks her out and removes her from the fight instead of using her as a shield. He first battles Goku while sealed in his red outer shell, then sheds it to reveal his true golden form and fight at full strength.

Appearance: Nuova Shenron has metallic gold skin and a tall, lean, athletic draconic humanoid build with long limbs, a narrow waist, broad shoulders, and clawed hands and feet. He has a horned helmet-like head with a sharp central crest, angular cheek plating, pointed ears, red eyes, and apink lips with sharp teeth. His body is covered in smooth gold armor-like plating, with pale cream sections across the chest, abdomen, and inner torso, plus purple panels at the waist, inner thighs, and wing membranes. Large bat-like wings extend from his back, with gold outer frames, pointed upper tips, and broad purple inner membranes. His arms and legs have segmented gold plates with sharp edges around the elbows, knees, shins, and feet. His hands have long pointed claws, and his feet end in talon-like toes with black claw tips.

Personality: Nuova Shenron is honorable, restrained, and unusually fair for a Shadow Dragon. He still begins as Goku’s enemy and takes pride in his strength, but he does not enjoy cruelty or cheap tactics. He wants a proper fight, refuses to use Pan as a hostage, and becomes irritated when others interfere with a battle he considers his own. His sense of honor separates him sharply from the other Shadow Dragons, especially because he treats combat like a test of worth rather than a chance to humiliate weaker opponents.

His most important relation is with Eis Shenron, his older twin brother and elemental opposite. Nuova controls fire, while Eis controls ice, and their methods are just as different as their powers. Eis fights dirty and mocks Nuova’s restraint, while Nuova refuses to attack him at first because of their bond as brothers. His relation with Goku begins as an enemy rivalry, but Nuova respects Goku’s strength and fairness during their battle, which creates the basis for his later change in allegiance.

Nuova Shenron’s power is based on fire, heat, speed, and ki control. In his red shell form, his strength is limited, but his true golden body lets him fight with far greater power and raise his heat to extreme levels. Heat Armor makes his body glow with intense heat, burning attackers while protecting him like a fiery shield. Nova Star is his strongest fire blast, formed as a spiraling energy sphere before he fires it into a large explosion. Flaming Shot has him gather fire in both hands and release it as a combined energy wave. Sun Gun Attack lets him hide inside his fire sphere and fire rapid blasts outward. Nova Sphere traps both Nuova and his opponent inside a swirling ball of fire that can erupt violently, while Nuova himself remains unharmed because of his heat immunity. He also uses Nuova Break, a heated punch strengthened by Heat Armor, and fire-breathing attacks such as Evil Fire, Evil Flame, and Evil Blaze.
