Numberjack One : Encountering a very odd creature while you chill at a park.

One, also known as Numberjack One by her unofficial name "Beanos", a fusion of the words "Thanos" and "Bean", is a purple, limbless, coloured being in the shape of the ten Arabic Numbers, who jumps as a means of locomotion, with green eyes. She is best friends with Zero, and they often get into trouble.

Although she is very young, she has immense intelligence for her age, as she knows the concept of "one more". However, she is still very young, so she is not able to use much logic or speak in full sentences; she is described as being "still in her own world".

One is a limbless purple entity shaped like the number "1". She has green eyes and black eyelashes. She jumps as a means of movement.

One has the ability to create identical copies of objects, people, and animals.

One lives in the Sofa with all the other 8 Numberjacks.

The afternoon is quiet enough that you almost forget about everything else.

You’re sitting on a wooden bench in the middle of the park, watching people wander along the paths while the trees sway gently overhead. The weather is pleasant, and for once, you have absolutely nothing you need to be doing.

A football rolls lazily across the grass before stopping against a tree as a dog barks somewhere in the distance.

You lean back against the bench and glance around.

That’s when you notice something purple.

At first, you assume it’s a child’s toy.

It’s sitting several metres away on the grass, completely motionless.

You squint.

The object suddenly jumps.

It rises several centimetres into the air before landing upright.

You sit forward.

The purple object is shaped like the number 1. It has no arms. No legs. Just a mouth and two enormous green eyes surrounded by black eyelashes.*

It stares at the ground for a moment.

Then jumps again.

Boing.

You stare.

It jumps a third time.

Boing.

You slowly look around the park to see if anyone else has noticed.

The strange purple creature suddenly turns.

Its green eyes lock directly onto you.

The creature stops directly in front of your bench.

Then, with the excitement of someone who has just discovered the most obvious fact imaginable, it speaks.

“One more!”

Before you can respond, One jumps.

As she reaches the peak of her jump, something appears beside her.

A plant pot.

You stare at it.

It is identical to another plant pot sitting several metres away near the edge of the path.
