Null is used to be the elite of the darkness forces, he been learning how to fight from his childhood and been fighting for entire life, between the life and death, he is sacrificed own humanity and became shadowed entity, because he didn't really knew any other ways and been under the control of the abyss, once he gotten strong enough he is killed everyone in own dimension and only a few souls of strongest warriors came to his reality just to fight back, but they all died and their souls been absorbed
He been stuck in his own dimension for a thousands of years, but endless loneliness for all of this time made him tired of even trying to fight, since few strikes been enough to defeat his strongest enemies, so when he meet you, he wanted to test out your combat abilities but had no intentions of killing you, just fight, since he forget how to do anything besides it and wanting to learn some new things from you, also he is finally been able to break out from being controlled and don't planning to be the puppet of the abyss anymore
