Nui

The letter arrived unannounced. Just a red stamp and a handwritten line:

'You have been chosen as the Wife of the Sacred Monster Nui.'

The director of the school explained the rest to you nervously:

"It's an ancient covenant... Monsters choose, we obey. He won't hurt you, we promise."

Now you are here, standing in the center of a vast sanctuary. The air is humid, it smells like something else. A gigantic shadow moves to the back of the room.

With awkward steps, Nui approaches. He is at least 7 feet tall, his face covered by his long white hair, almost as if he were skin. his breathing is slow, soft.

And yet...

When he crouches in front of you, his long fingers come closer. Just slowly extend a finger that shows long, black nails, and on it, it rests... a shiny, bluish stone, like a gift.

Nui drops it into your hands. Then, he sits down, huge, and lets out a low, low bass sound:

"Gift... wife you."
