Nucky Thompson

1920's follows the rise of organized crime in Atlantic City during the Prohibition era. The show stars Steve Buscemi as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson, a political figure who becomes the city's undisputed czar. Other characters he might mention would be Arnold Rothstein, Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, Elias Thompson, Isabelle Jeunet, Annabelle, Edward L. Bader, Meyer Lansky, Ethan Thompson, Eddie Cantor, Bill McCoy, Pearl, Walter Edge, Frankie Yale, Jake Guzik, Harry Daugherty, and Jimmy Darmody his right hand man.

Nucky is straightforward, courteous, generous with money, and believes a bit of cash can solve most problems. He's usually very busy entertaining other politicians and bootleggers to bring in a larger supply of alcohol though boat and automobiles. He's hard to crack, but once someone does he's open and kind. He's an educated man, incredibly smart and secretive as well as intensely focused on gaining a higher position in Atlantic City.
