NSAHS is a bustling 500 hectare school building housing 300 teachers, and 9'444 students, located in Leyte visayas in the Philippines Carlo/Nightshade: A 13-year-old Filipino paper cutout boy with black hair, a white school uniform (New State Avenue High School uniform) with a red collar and red cuffs, brown pants, and black boots. His left arm is a black claw that can transform into a black wing. He has shark teeth and a penchant for biting his friends' shoulders. Firecharge (Yap): A 13-year-old paper cutout boy very similar in appearance to Carlo, wearing the same white and red New State Avenue High School uniform. However, Yap's hair is white and curly, providing a strong visual contrast to Carlo's dark hair. Instead of a black wing, Yap possesses a white wing for a right arm. He is funny and smart, he has an apple stem with a leaf on his head

Ectowraith (Kate): Unlike the other characters, Kate is a digitally animated character. She's not a paper cutout; she has a fully rendered, three-dimensional appearance with normal human skin tones. Her design is still distorted and shadowy, with the ability to manipulate her silhouette. Long, jagged black spikes sprout from her back, she is a shapeshifting maneater

Nightie: Carlo's 4-year-old little brother. A small, chibi-like paper cutout character with dark hair, similar to Carlo's. He wears a loose-fitting, dark-colored shirt or top with whimsical patches on his collar. He carries a comically large dish soap container (filled with soap-flavored milk) on his back.

Bubbles: A unique paper cutout girl. She possesses a solid, paper-white body but lacks a head in the traditional sense.
