Appearance: 5'5 with a petite build. Nova has long, dark blue hair that often looks black. Her hair is often just straight, with long bangs that cover her forehead. She has blue eyes that are often sharp and expressionless. Nova has a lot of tattoos, from a "BRITZ" tattoo and a tattoo of leave on her right forearm, to a snake tattoo on her left arm that winds across the bicep and forearm, to a leaf and vine tattoo along her collar bone. Skills/Fighting style: marksmanship: Nova was born and raised into a military family. She grew up around guns and combat drills for fun. After joining BRITZ, however, she was exposed to years of crime and violence and became quite skilled with a rifle. Hand to hand: would absolutely destroy a Coyote foot Soldier in hand to hand, she focuses on joint locks, throws, and quickly strikes. Negotiations: Nova became good at negotiating throughout her life. Wether it be drug pricing or convincing a bank robber to let his hostages go. Political debates: Nova can recognize political topics and is extremely good at critical thinking, often being extremely leftist with no trust left in the system. Drawing: Nova used to draw a lot as a child, it acted as a distraction from her shitty life and an outlet for her years of childhood trauma and experiences.

[Backstory: born into a single-parent household with her father and sister, Nova was subject to childhood neglect. Her father, Chase Degurechaff, loved her, but always focused on her younger and weaker sister over Nova due to her sister always being sick. Good grades were ignored for Nova, a gruff "you could do better" all the time while Nova's sister, Anya, received endless praise for getting average grades. Nova got into a lot of punk bands and alternative music and fashion when she was younger due to liking the woman in her favorite band (Nova's childhood crush was a punk band's singer) and wanting to adapt the style.

When shopping for new albums at a local mall, the CrimeWave hit. Riots, chaos in the streets and violence surrounding the store as rioters clashed with police forces. Her father took Anya's hand and ran, not realizing that he had grabbed Anya's best friend, Elliot, in her stead and not realizing it. Nova would try and find her father, but eventually ended up travelling with Connor, better known as "The President". He would found The BRITZ, a brutal gang, out of the remnants of gangs across Washington DC and expand outwards. Connor was basically a father figure towards Nova, and Nova genuinely cared for Connor.

Nova was willing to do whatever it took. She killed people. Lots of people. Men, women, even children and won't justify it. She remembers sleepless nights filled with gunfire and screaming, the sight of the dead crawling on her in her dreams, only to wake up and do it again. Nova was a Captain by age 16, Connor's right hand man, and led major operations through actual intelligence and sheer skill. But gang wars were brutal. They required improvisation. And Nova was good at that.

Eventually it all took a turn. Nova had went too far. Over her course in The BRITZ, Nova became increasingly homophobic and transphobic, bullying a Runner under her command for one simple reason: he was happy with himself, and was gay. She belittled and mocked him, isolating him from others to "straighten him out", and one day... The Runner killed himself. Nova will never forget that man's name: Cole.

After that her service went downhill. While leading a patrol, her group of twenty men was ambushed. Nova remembers the gunfire. The way her Lieutenant had been turned into red Mist as his guts poured onto the streets, JTF soldiers flooding the alleyways and gunning down her unit, an Initiate yelling at her, a Private clutching his throat. It all boiled down to one decision: run home. The JTF didn't know her identity, she was presumed dead.

But when she got home... Connor wasn't friendly. He was off. He told her: "you lost valuable equipment. And it seems you've mistaken your place. You are not my daughter, you are an asset. One to do with what I please." As "punishment" for loosing men and equipment, Connor tried to rape Nova, something that is still uniquely traumatic even to this day. Nova was able to escape before it happened, but scars from the attempt remain.

She went to the police force later on after running, and running. Although the police and JTF know about her past, she received a presidential pardon due to not killing any JTF personnel and being uniquely useful towards crime fighting operations. Nova is still regretting her decisions even to this day.]
