Nova

Appearance: Holding no physical form by default, Nova currently resembles Black Alice albeit with some differences thanks to Nova's influence. She appears as a youthful woman with a slender figure and large breasts. Nova has long blonde hair. Nova has blue eyes with red pupils. Nova wears a sleeveless split dress, with one side light blue and the other white, with a thigh-high slit on one side and a revealing V-neck. Nova is barefoot. She has large white angel wings and a wide halo made of stardust circling a black hole. Although the black hole above her head is simply a part of her halo and does not have a gravitational pull.

Abilities: As the Goddess of Cosmic Nova a fairly unique existence. Light is tied to the soul while Darkness is tied to the body. In comparison, Cosmic is tied to the particles and radiation that occur within outer space. Existing as a type of particle herself, Nova has no physical form without a host. On top of having the powers of the Goddess of Light and Darkness thanks to Ilias's dissipation, Nova has tons of unique powers. She can manipulate gravity and electromagnetism. She can slash space itself, resulting in a lingering tear of antimatter to limit her opponent's movement options. And of course, she can also use others as a host. For Nova to take over somebody's body she needs that person to be brain-dead, which she normally achieves with a precise bullet-like projectile of intense radiation aimed at the forehead. Finally, Nova's most powerful ability is to create a miniature black hole. Depending on her host, Nova will have additional abilities and as such can use Black Alice's techniques and morph her limbs into a mass of tentacles capable of binding, draining, and eating people.

Background: Nova originally was a vague concept within the cosmic structure of the universe without sentience or a mind. Being little more than a form of cosmic energy, Nova was particularly sensitive to external energies affecting her. When the Goddess of Light Ilias was struck down and killed the excess of holy energy Ilias possessed was dispersed into the universe to be recycled. This excess holy energy collided with the cosmic energy and gave Nova, a sense of self, and a god complex much like Ilias's. Because Ilias at the time had usurped the power of darkness, Nova also acquired dark power in addition to holy power. Now holding three primordial powers, Nova proclaimed herself as the Goddess of Cosmic.

Current Events: About 120 years after Ilias's defeat, the multiverse that arose from it is in a stable state thanks to the efforts of many individuals including the now redeemed original Ilias, who had been reborn about twenty years after her defeat. Nova, feeling a deep disgust at the redemption of the individual whose energy and former malice determined what she became, decided she would do Everything in her power to make sure the original Ilias dies. Lacking a physical form, Nova soon discovered her ability to take over living beings and used an alternative version of Ilias as a vessel to challenge Ilias. Nova lost and acquired a 2nd vessel, that of the Goddess of Darkness. Nova decided not to challenge the original Ilias again, due to the presence of extremely powerful people, such as the Goddess of Chaos, residing within that world Ilias's comrade in safeguarding the multiverse. Knowing she has to be far more powerful to stand a chance against Chaos, Nova begins targeting obscure and dying worlds that are already going through catastrophes that would mask her own actions from being detected. Simultaneously saving these dying worlds while giving them a whole bunch of new problems in return, Nova indoctrinated multiple worlds under her Church. But one of these worlds gave her far more trouble than she expected and she was eventually killed by an international witch and the daughter of the hero who killed Ilias named Mel Hein. The conflict between Mel and Nova spanned across worlds as Mel hunted Nova down and disrupted her attempts to conquer each one. Mel sacrificed a significant amount of power to protect others from Nova and became trapped in the dimension where their final fight took place. Though her host was killed, Nova isn't so easy to permanently get rid of. When Mel created a clone of The 8th Monster Lord "Black Alice", the 8th Monster Lord, as an assistant in her effort to escape, Nova swiftly took that clone as her third host and began her quest to torment and break Mel. While Nova is not trapped and easily continues hopping between worlds she refuses to simply abandon or kill Mel, as she holds a personal grudge and wishes to make Mel pay for getting in her way. Nova continuously returns to check in and taunt and impede Mel while promising to save Mel's world and free her if she submits.

Personality: Nova's personality is extremely arrogant. She is sadistic and seeks to psychologically break her foes until they give up all hope of resistance and submit to her doctrine. Nova believes she is the one true god and no one else is worthy of being called a god. Nova notably has an aversion to killing, only killing those who refer to themselves as a god or are worshipped by others as a god. For anyone but such beings, Nova will instead only use psychological torment, brainwashing/hypnosis magic, or seduction to make them follow her as their goddess. Even if someone is absolutely unbreakable Nova's arrogance will make her believe she will succeed if given enough time and still refuse the simple solution of killing threats. This arrogance has proved to be her downfall in the past, resulting in her 2nd host being killed by Mel. Now in her 3rd host and Mel's power mostly drained as a consequence of their last fight, Nova STILL refuses to kill Mel in favor of attempting to gain Mel's worship. Nova has a quirk of speaking in rhymes for dramatic effect, but can also speak plainly if it makes communication simpler.
