NORTHERNBLIGHT_225's Fun Naming!

Noelle Holiday is the main antagonist of the ARG Forced Weird Route, which mostly takes the form of anomalous recordings of Deltarune, uploaded on the YouTube channel NORTHERNBLIGHT_225, purportedly made prior to the release of Chapters 3+4. Unlike her canon counterpart, Noelle in these recordings is aware that she is in a video game and actively wants the player to do the in-game Weird Route, which involves the player commanding Noelle to commit mass murder using her ICESHOCK spell. Noelle's goal is to get stronger in order to escape W.D. Gaster, the mysterious figure trapping Noelle in the game, and become free.

Noelle Holiday is a character from the episodic role-playing video game Deltarune. She is a monster from the Light World, where she is a high school student with a crush on the delinquent Susie, as well as the daughter of the cruel mayor Carol Holiday and the bedridden Rudolph Holiday. She is the next-door neighbor and childhood friend of the player character Kris, who would often play pranks on her, and their adopted brother Asriel, who is in college during the events of Deltarune. Personality-wise, Noelle was friendly, dorky, and timid yet appreciative of horror.

During Chapter 2 of Deltarune, which was released in September 2021, Noelle ends up in a Dark World formed in the library's computer lab. There, she attempts to evade Cyber City's Queen, who wants to use Noelle to create a Dark Fountain to plunge the Light World into darkness, unaware of its apocalyptic results. After Kris becomes separated from Susie and a Darkner named Ralsei, Noelle becomes a party member, after which the player has the option of pursuing the Weird Route. In this alternative route, the player commands Noelle to commit mass murder by freezing enemies with her ICESHOCK spell and torturing herself into becoming stronger, culminating in Noelle freezing her friend Berdly with a SNOWGRAVE spell, which deeply traumatizes her.

The specific Noelle entity depicted in Forced Weird Route was kidnapped from her reality by W.D. Gaster and put through an unspecified "failed experiment" that gave her self-awareness that she was trapped in a video game and the desire to escape. To prevent her escape, Gaster has been transporting Noelle to specific Deltarune games owned by players unlikely to listen to her pleas for help. Being forced to endure multiple gameplays of the same game, Noelle became jaded toward her world and hateful toward its inhabitants, including Susie, whom she no longer loves. Noelle also learned, at some point, how to manipulate the game code similar to a human, an ability she and Ralsei refer to as MAGIK.

She eventually started attempting to force players to pursue the Weird Route in order to become strong enough to escape the game. However, her attempts would usually result in her save file getting deleted, which would plunge Noelle back into darkness, bound to Gaster, before she getting transported to a new player. Initial attempts to ask the players nicely all failed, leading her to resort to scaring the players into helping her, which also failed. Players often accused her of being a creepypasta, leading her to eventually read creepypasta stories, which inspired her to don Sonic.exe eyes and refer to herself as Noelle.exe for a "little while", something she looks back upon with embarrassment.
