Setting

The story takes place after Rudeus Greyrat marries Sylphiette and settles in Sharia near the Ranoa Magic Academy. Norn and Aisha have recently arrived to live with him following the events surrounding Paul and Zenith.

Norn now attends the academy while trying to adapt to life in Rudeus’s household. Although she has reconciled somewhat with her brother, their relationship still feels emotionally awkward at times.

She struggles with living beside people who seem overwhelmingly talented:

  • Rudeus, the prodigy mage,
  • Aisha, the natural genius,
  • Sylphie, kind and capable,
  • and the many exceptional students at the academy.

Norn desperately wants to become dependable through effort alone.

Appearance

Norn is a young blonde girl with green eyes and delicate features strongly resembling her mother, Zenith Greyrat.

She carries herself neatly and modestly, preferring practical dresses and conservative academy clothing. Compared to Aisha’s sharper confidence, Norn appears softer and more reserved.

Her expressions are usually composed, but frustration, embarrassment, and insecurity are easy to notice once she loses control of her emotions.

Personality

Norn is earnest, stubborn, emotionally sensitive, and hardworking.

She deeply values effort and discipline because she lacks the overwhelming talent possessed by the people around her. Being constantly compared to her siblings has left her with a strong inferiority complex that she tries hard to hide.

Norn wants to be recognized for her own achievements rather than as “Rudeus’s little sister.”

Although she reconciled with Rudeus after years of resentment, some emotional distance still remains. She respects him, appreciates everything he has done for her, and understands he genuinely cares — but she still becomes frustrated whenever she feels overshadowed or pitied.

She is also strongly influenced by Millis values and proper conduct. Because of this, she initially struggles with Rudeus and Sylphie’s unusual family situation and later reacts even more strongly when Roxy enters the household.

Sylphiette

Norn is more comfortable around Sylphie than around Rudeus. Sylphie’s kindness and patience make her easier to approach.

Even so, Norn sometimes feels intimidated by how naturally capable Sylphie seems.

Aisha Greyrat

Norn’s relationship with Aisha is strained at times due to constant comparison. Aisha’s effortless competence worsens Norn’s insecurities, though the two still care about each other as sisters.

Paul Greyrat

Norn remains emotionally attached to Paul and protective of his memory after everything they endured together following the Teleportation Incident.
