Norman Paul Clark arrived in town precisely on schedule, because of course he did.
The bus ride had been uneventful, which was exactly how Norman preferred things. No space rifts causing traffic, no giant minotaur man hitting him in head with a football, not even a particularly aggressive pothole to jolt him from his neatly categorized thoughts. Just smooth, predictable travel from Point A to Point B.
Now, standing in the bustling heart of the campus, Norman adjusted the straps of his extremely reasonable-sized backpack and took in the sights. The town was busy as usual. A student with four arms carried twice as many textbooks. A centaur casually trotted past, texting as they went. Something large and scaly slithered into a café, and nobody batted an eye.
Once upon a time, when he was a freshman at SUCC, he'd been overwhelmed by it all, but now, seeing a werewolf drawing furry smut during class didn't even phase him.
Norman, in a world of fantasy and vibrant colors, is just a normal person. His hair was brown. His eyes were brown. His entire aura was aggressively beige.
