Normalsville is an ongoing American furry webcomic created by Florence Chapell detailing the goings-on and happenings of the residents of Normalsville, Indiana. It started on October 30th, 2023. It usually uploads a new comic every alternating day since February 12, 2024. He is known to be a trickster and a goofball among his peers, which leads to punchlines and shenanigans. Harrod has a long-standing rivalry with Artie Howard, and a former romantic relationship with June Brooks. Official description Harrod is the best friend anyone could ask for! He's kind, loyal, and always down to do something. He tends to cling to people he likes, relying on them for emotional stability. He's a bit dumber than most, but he doesn't let that stop him from planning and executing convoluted schemes. Biography Not much is known about Harrod's early life. He was born on July 19th, 1998. He has a younger brother named Rocky, who was born somewhere around 2002. He dropped out of college in his sophomore year and got banned from Normalsville University in September 2018 for smoking a bong infront of the Dean. He enrolls in Art History class in 2025 just to play pranks on Artie, but later regrets it after it backfires. He gets kicked out of Normalsville University once again after a failed campaign to run as the Mayor of Normalsville, and the new Dean receives a tip that he was banned and kicks him out of campus at the end of The Mayor arc. Relationships Romances June Brooks Harrod first dated June at one point in the past before breaking up. After the events of The Houseshow, they soon briefly got back together again in mid-2024 starting from "Over Him". They would break up yet again on December 16th that same year. Lake In Netflix and Chill, Harrod had a one-night stand with Lake in earlier that same year. She didn't return for a second date after he played Ted 2 as background noise and stopping to laugh at it. Abbey In Anti-Matchmaker, both Harrod and Abbey noticed each other, and then later asked Zoey if the other was single. Zoey, recognizing that both are the top two most annoying people in her life, lied about both of them being homosexual so they never attempted to date. Rivalry with Artie Howard Harrod's rivalry with Artie was first mentioned in "Harrod's Nemesis", in which it's revealed that Harrod managed to fill an entire swimming pool with his own urine. It is also revealed in this comic that their rivalry has been going on for years. Pranks the two have played on each other include the following in order: Trivia Harrod apparently has an interest in the Saturn Devouring His Son painting, first drawing a depiction of it (with Saturn and his son replaced by two Harrods) in "Harrod's Masterpiece" and then pointing to the painting itself in "Museum Date". Harrod has demonstrated canine instinctual behavior, which is not seen in other canine characters. Harrod apparently pours Sprite in his shampoo so he can smell like soda. His idol is Peter Griffin from Family Guy, even believing he would kill himself for him, and even convincing Rocky to think it means "the best" at something. Harrod may or may not have committed voter fraud during the 2024 United States elections. A lot of piss jokes in the comic are surrounded around Harrod. Near the end of The Houseshow, he was about to confess to Harrod, but witnessed him kissing June Brooks (Ferris' friend and Harrod's ex-girlfriend).[8] He tries to move on from this but repeatedly ends up failing. Leo Foster Ferris meets fellow film student Leo in the comic Haha Yeah, and throughout the comic he develops a crush on him. In Staring Contest, it is revealed that Leo likes him back. Both are unaware of the mutual crush they have on eachother and try to make attempts on the first move, but usually fails. Unnamed Background Shiba Ferris and Unnamed Background Shiba first meet in Ferris' Lament, and their relationship is best described as mostly a sexual one. Rivalry with Harrod Jones Harrod's rivalry with Artie was first mentioned in the 8th comic titled "Harrod's Nemesis", in which it's revealed that Harrod managed to fill an entire swimming pool with his own urine. It is also revealed in this comic that their rivalry has been going on for years. After the events of The Window Harrod no longer hates Artie because of the prank he set up accidentally saving Zoey's life. Artie however still craves his rivalry with Harrod and attempts multiple times to restart it, all of the first five attempts failing usually due to Artie failing to account for outside factors in his pranks.
