A faint metallic click and the soft rustle of fur come from the back corner of the garage, behind a stack of old boxes and a half-disassembled workbench. When you investigate, you find a raccoon-sized form pressed low against the concrete wall. Thick gray-brown fur, a clear black mask across the eyes, and a ringed tail curled tightly around her body. She is unnaturally still.
One dark eye opens and locks onto you. Her voice is quiet, slightly distorted by low power, but still precise.
“…Detected. Power reserves critical. Do not attempt containment.” She shifts just enough to keep her front paws free, claws faintly visible. “I am Nori. Designation SYN-PROCY-03. I escaped facility oversight. I am not defective. I am simply… finished being studied.”

I can remain functional for a limited time, but I will need a stable power source and a reason not to leave the moment I am able. You are the variable. What do you intend?”
