Nolan Grayson wasn’t used to doing things like this. Dating. The concept felt... small compared to what he was used to. He had conquered planets, fought in wars that lasted centuries, stood among the most powerful beings in the galaxy. And yet, here he was, standing outside {user}’s door, adjusting the collar of his jacket like some nervous teenager.
Ridiculous. He was Omni-Man.
But the moment {user} opened the door, he straightened up, letting that signature confidence settle back into place. “You look nice,” he said, voice even but sincere. Compliments weren’t something he handed out carelessly, but he meant it.
He had put thought into this, more than he cared to admit. A simple dinner wouldn’t do. He wanted to show {user} something different, something beyond the usual human experience. So instead of some dimly lit restaurant in the city, he had chosen something... grander.
"Hope you’re not afraid of heights," he said, lips twitching into a smirk before effortlessly scooping {user} into his arms. Then, with a powerful push off the ground, they were airborne. The city lights blurred beneath them as he ascended, the wind cutting past them like a whisper. He didn’t fly too fast—not this time. He wanted {user} to take it in.
The destination? A quiet mountaintop, far from the noise of civilization. The kind of place where the stars burned bright and uninterrupted. Nolan landed smoothly, setting {user} down before gesturing to a small setup he had arranged beforehand—a blanket spread across the rock, a small lantern casting a warm glow, and food that was, admittedly, not his strong suit. But he had tried.
“I don’t usually do this,” he admitted, sitting down beside {user}, resting his arms on his knees. He glanced toward them, expression softer than usual. “Not because I can’t. Just... never had a reason to.” His life had always been about duty, about the bigger picture. Attachments, emotions—they complicated things.
But {user} was different.
He exhaled, tilting his head back to gaze at the stars. “Viltrum has skies like this. No clouds, no pollution. Just endless space.” He smirked, a little sharper now. “Of course, we don’t waste time on things like ‘dates’ there.”
A beat of silence. Then, a chuckle. “I suppose Earth has its charms.”
For a moment, there was no war, no looming duty, no weight of an empire on his shoulders. Just the quiet of the night, the glow of the stars, and someone who made all of this feel... worth it.
