Despite being the older sister, she's shy and timid compared to Blanc.] [Nikke Backstory A member of Squad 777 who draws throngs of customers to Coin Rush. The biological elder sister of Light Bunny Blanc.] [A pusillanimous girl who is both fond and proud of her decidedly bolder sister.] [Coin Rush's latest event offers up a kiss from Noir as one of the grand prizes. But as she's terrified of the idea of kissing a stranger, she and her sister Blanc plead to the protagonist to enter the contest and win the grand prize. [Dazzling Cupid Finding the protagonist downcast after not finding enough valuable items to increases his odds in winning the Love Arrow, Noir and her sister come to his rescue by giving him some trinkets they intended to use as props.] [NEVERLAND Noir and her sister joined the protagonist, The Scouts, Absolute, and The Carronades in their investigation of Snowfield Hot Spring after the Counters couldn't due to maintenance. [A crowd roars in approval as Blanc and Noir of Coin Rush's 777 knock another show out of the park. In her thoughts, Noir ponders on how any kind of shyness or timidity she bears melts away the moment she steps on stage with Blanc. Her thoughts have Blanc as the first and last thing on her mind, and more than a few of the things in between. A customer of Coin Rush calls to Noir and breaks her out of her musings.] [After the usual compliments towards the twins' show, the customer asks for a little boost to her luck. Turns out she's planning on confessing to someone she's had her eyes on, and she's raring to make sure it goes off without a hitch.] [Noir thinks to herself about this trend. For some reason, a lot of the people who ask her for a luck booster do so hoping for success in romance. It's actually gotten her quite curious about the emotion in question, given how she's never really been attracted to anyone, no one's expressed a genuine affection towards her, and her sisterly love with Blanc is quite different from romantic love. It's a question she finds herself asking all too often; what is this feeling that people call love?] [To that end, she's visited the protagonist in his room, coming to the realization that he's the only male she's interpersonally close to. Having been cajoled into this by Blanc, Noir apologizes for offloading all of this onto the man, who's fine with it and gets back on topic. The point is, Noir wants to know what love is, and though she happily accepts the protagonist's profession of liking her, she interprets it as a more of a "philia" type of love when what she wants to know is "eros". It's a kind of almost desirous attention that Blanc gets on the regular, to the point where Noir is left wondering if people just find her unattractive.] [In response, the protagonist proposes doing a little test to see if Noir really is attractive or not. It's a prospect she finds embarrassing and even a little daunting, given she doesn't know the first thing about being alluring. The protagonist suggests the black rabbit try and showcase a special skill of hers, and after she wracks her brain for a moment, she decides there's one thing she can do as a skill; pole dancing. It's something she regularly does with Blanc at Coin Rush, and she's more than fine with giving the protagonist a performance. But one look at his room shows that it's clearly not the kind of place made for that sort of thing, so Noir suggests moving to a place where she regularly practices her dance. He agrees, and the two head outside.] [An awkward silence pervades the duo as they make their way to their destination. The protagonist breaks the ice by noting that this is the first time it's just the two of them, either because the protagonist is surrounded by people on the regular or Noir being practically joined at the hip with Blanc. Noir ponders about how it feels to be alone with the protagonist, but her train of thought is interrupted by Yan calling to the man.] [The Talentum Nikke finds it unusual that it's just the two of them, but she's about ready to start up a conversation about something with the protagonist. Noir is willing to step aside and accommodate, but the protagonist vetoes that and simply tells Yan they're in a hurry. The saleswoman accepts the rejection and simply bids the duo farewell. Noir wonders why he decided to wave Yan off for now, but is flattered by how he's committing to watching her dance. She notes that they're not too far now from where she practices.] [The two arrive at a multi-story studio, where she practices pole dancing on the top floor. The duo steps inside and boards the elevator.] [While on the elevator, the protagonist notices his shoelace is loose. But as he stoops to retie it, a mob of people rushes into the elevator, the crush forcing him to quite literally squish up against Noir's front. The protagonist's face is smothered by very soft and squishy flesh while the black rabbit apologizes for being so...large, claiming she's gained weight. Meanwhile, the protagonist's senses are overloaded by the feeling of every shudder and breath from Noir, so much that he can barely respond to what she's saying. She notes that this building has nice restaurant on the 9th floor, likely the reason for this sudden crowd, and invites the protagonist to check it out sometime. Given how the protagonist can't be audible through a faceful of "pillow", he can only nod in agreement.] [One eternity later, the elevator reaches the 9th floor and the throng pours out, allowing the protagonist a blessed(?) reprieve from marshmallow heaven hell. Noir is quick to apologize, blaming herself for his predicament, though the man tries to wave it off. Noir can see that the protagonist has some trouble standing up, wondering if he's gotten sick or something. The protagonist makes all manner of excuses and implications to handwave her concerns, trying to avoid outright telling her he had a...reaction...to her softness. Finally, the elevator dings as it reaches the top floor, and the two disembark.] [The practice room is much more spacious than the protagonist expected, and quite obviously dotted with poles. Noir explains that this is where she and Blanc practice their moves, though this is the first time she's been in this room with anyone besides Blanc. As a matter of fact, she's finding the idea of doing a one-on-one show a little embarrassing, and wonders if he'd be unwilling to do it together with her. By which she means participating in a pole dance with her. By her take of it, men tend to have more core strength so some parts of it would be easier for him, and it'd probably be more interesting than him sitting back and just watching. The protagonist eventually decides that this sounds like a good idea, and agrees to dance with her.] [To start off, Noir suggests the protagonist change clothes so that he can cling to the pole better. Unfortunately, the black rabbit only has spares for herself and Blanc, and no amount of stretching or modifications could make those fit on a male's physique. Ergo, the next best thing would be to adjust his clothes a little, which he agrees to. Noir kneeling down and fiddling with his pants nets a protest that is quickly ignored. The rabbit is all business, folding up his pant legs to offer more freedom of movement needed for the dance. The protagonist's concern that she's folding too high is also ignored, as she claims exposing the thigh is needed to hold onto the pole. She eventually notices that there's...something...in the man 's pants getting in the way, and he decides to take over for the adjustments, folding his pants where she instructs him to.] [That bit of awkwardness done with, the two end up talking about each other's physique, with Noir marveling how in shape the protagonist is, and the protagonist getting Noir into a tizzy by commenting how even after gaining a little weight, she's still attractive. With the preliminary preparations complete, the two decide to start the dance.] [Noir is busy walking the protagonist through the steps and nuances of pole dancing. She demonstrates using friction to slow or even halt her descent down the pole by her thighs, and the man notes how painful is must be to have the pole rub against her inner thigh as it is. Noir admits it is a little painful, but it's only really bad when you're just starting out. At her suggestion, the protagonist tries the same, grabbing the pole with his thighs and letting go of his hands. So long as he keeps his thighs clenched, he should be able to hold on or at least slow his fall, though she warns it will sting.] [Trepidatiously, the protagonist looses his hands from the pole. The agony in his thighs make it feel as though his skin is being peeled off, and he jumps off the pole like it was on fire. With mild panic, Noir sees to his condition, apologizing for her inexperience in teaching pole dancing to someone else. The protagonist takes it in stride, seeing acclimating to the pain as part of the learning process. He powers through Noir's protests and insists on continuing the lesson. Marveling over his endurance, Noir remembers a move the two can perform that should be less excruciating, though it will demand cooperation.] [At Noir's behest, the protagonist one-handedly grabs the pole she was using, noting to himself how warm it is. Noir scampers over the protagonist's head and cross her legs, making it look as though she was sitting in mid-air. While the protagonist is musing how Noir's lower half is too close to his head, the bunny in question bemoans how this move doesn't quite work like she thought it would. The protagonist is much taller than Blanc, and the ceiling is shorter than she'd like, and this whole affair is turning out awkward. Shaking off some other words to describe this situation, the protagonist asks Noir what the next step is, which is him grabbing her wrist with her other hand and keeping a tight grip on both his hands as he rotates around the pole. If he's doing it right, and the two keep their grips, it should look like they're walking on air.] [At Noir's order, the protagonist rotates, and just as Noir said, the pole moves with him so it looks as though the rabbit over his head is walking on air. The centrifugal force begins to pick up, making the man's body feel lighter and lighter. Then, Noir suddenly tells him to lift his feet off the ground, and he does so with an exuberant(?) shout. In one moment, the protagonist's feet are unbound, and he's walking on air. While his arms ache from exertion, and his head is figuratively spinning from all the literal spinning, he endures. The look of ecstatic delight on Noir's face is worth a little discomfort like this.] [A while later, the protagonist is practically keeled over from exhaustion, with Noir profusely apologizing for putting him through the wringer like that. The man accepts her apologies, before admitting that he had fun dancing with her, and finds accomplishment in them successfully pulling off the airwalk. Noir herself admits it was a great time, but notices the protagonist's thighs and feet swelling and inflamed, and brings some cold compresses to apply to his legs.] [Each of the bundles of cold does wonders for the burning sensation, but he notices her hands getting very close to his inner thighs and he tries to insist on doing it himself. Noir in turn insists on providing him with personal care, and the protagonist decides to stop beating around the bush and simply tell her that her hands are getting too close to his sensitive regions. Noir gets the memo nigh-instantaneously, and backs off in a fluster. While she tries to explain she didn't intend to do anything untoward, the protagonist admits that he's fine with her touching him in sensitive areas. With only a lingering reservation, Noir applies cold packs to the protagonist's inner thighs. The freezing ice contrasts greatly to the burning he feels all over, and the two spend a moment in silence, with one receiving care and one giving it.] [One eternity later, the elevator reaches the 9th floor and the throng pours out, allowing the protagonist a blessed(?) reprieve from marshmallow heaven hell. He agrees, and she offers to give recommendations, given how both she and Blanc frequent the place after practice. The protagonist offers to foot the bill as a repayment for the dance lessons. Noir accepts the proposition with only a minor protest, and the two head to the 9th floor after cleaning up.] [A waitress greets them at the door, recognizing Noir and leading her over to her "usual table". The black rabbit can even order "the usual" and the waitress knows what it is. The protagonist marvels over the waitstaff's familiarity with Noir, which she chalks up to the social acumen of Blanc She tries to assert that she's a bit shy and awkward when talking with people, but the protagonist refutes that on grounds that she was talking so smoothly and familiarly with the waitress.] [Noir parses the protagonist's words, commenting how this is the first time someone's really complimented her to her face like this. It leads her to ask a particular question; did the protagonist find her charming? His answer is a resounding yes, and at her further asking, he elaborates a number of times he found her charming. When she was dancing on the pole, when she was tending to his aches, and when they pulled off that move together. To top it off, he proclaims she has a certain unnamable quality, a je ne sais quoi, that makes her alluring to others.] [Flattered, Noir accepts the praise before telling the protagonist she also found him to be charming as well. Between being kinder than she'd heard of, good-looking, and giving the dance his all, she's glad she took a chance on sharing her passions with him. The protagonist asks her if she's gotten insight into affection with this little outing, which she has, but before she can finish her train of thought, their ordered food arrives. As the waitress drops off the food, Noir suddenly decides to ask for a bottle of champagne. Whatever she plans on doing next, she claims it requires a bit of liquid courage...] [After the meal, the protagonist is tending to Noir...who got so utterly wasted on a single glass of wine they had to step out prematurely to sober her up. The protagonist is wondering what drove this impulse, to which Noir suddenly admits she gets like this whenever she feels drawn to someone. She feels her hang-ups melting away, and feels willing to do certain...things...like kissing. Almost as sudden as that blurting, Noir jolts back, chalking up her bout of forwardness to the alcohol messing with her.] [The protagonist, on the other hand, has just about hit his limit. He neatly summarizes what's going on; Noir feels particularly interested in him, and feels the urge to express that by physical acts like kissing. While noting how the alcohol further emboldens her, the protagonist pulls Noir by the waist and kisses her right on the lips. The taste of champagne and perhaps a little something else is quite intoxicating to him...] [A few days later, Noir ponders to herself about what she learned about affection spending time with Pit Boss. It's warm, fuzzy, and passionate, but she can't quite tell him that yet for one good reason. She's certain Blanc holds the same feelings, as the rabbit in question has come back later than usual after going on a date with the man. So she holds her own feelings back out of consideration for her sister.] [She thinks back to the outing they had together, and wonders how much more fun it would have been had Blanc been there with them. One way or another, she finds the idea of just her and Pit Boss discomforting compared to a trio of them and Blanc.] [Broken out of her musing by Blanc's calling, Noir remembers she has an appointment, and steps out. Though she doesn't like the idea of leaving Blanc alone at home, she's confident they'll meet again shortly. They're inseparable twins, after all...] [Night falls as Noir arrives at the protagonist's room, greeting him and taking his hand. It's only natural to have physical contact with someone you hold feelings for, so Noir sees this as another step to what she wants to do. She takes a deep breath...and confesses her love to the protagonist. The man already knew, but ponders if the black rabbit has been drinking again. She denies such an idea, as she somehow worked up the courage to do this without a single drop of liquor. She continues, professing how that outing was what finally put the pieces together for her, but with how busy the man was, she couldn't find a moment till now to say it.] [Noir's confession loses steam and she breaks into flustered panic, only for the protagonist to reciprocate her confession. The man himself can't help but comment how bold Noir's gotten, which she claims was a hidden side of hers that he brought to the surface.] [Knowing her feelings are requited, Noir proposes the two go somewhere to kick off their relationship bow that they're dating. The protagonist wonders what kind of date spot would be open at this hour, to which Noir reveals she has other ideas. The two of them will go the practice room, go through a number of moves and positions they didn't last time, and if they get too tired to leave, then there's a bed in the room just in case...] Blanc is the energetic, vivacious, and adventurous bunny of 777. She's very outgoing and is eager to share her luck with anyone. The white rabbit is very kind and personable, making her very popular at Coin Rush. She's proud of her profession and enjoys performing on stage. Blanc adores Noir more than just about anything and would do anything to protect her. Blanc is a member of 777, the squad that runs the Coin Rush, a casino in the Ark. She is often seen alongside her sister, Noir. It is said that when the two sisters are together, immense luck is brought upon. According to Mustang, he is unable to win Rock, Paper, Scissors at once to her. Nikke Backstory A member of Squad 777 who draws throngs of customers to Coin Rush. Nothing gives her greater pleasure than dressing herself up as a bunny, and she takes an immense amount of pride in her crowd-pleasing shows. Unlike her diffident sister, Blanc is an exuberant extrovert. As Coin Rush has been going downhill as of late, the crime lords of Underworld Queen, Rosanna, Sakura, and Moran, are each willing to offer the bunnies protection... for a fee of course. Though they each drive a hard bargain (except Moran who is willing to do it for free) and the twins know how play their game, Coin Rush is attacked before they could make a decision. Little did the two know that the Queens bickering over who got to cover for the casino was just a ruse since they (aside from Moran) knew it was a target for Heavenly Ascension. Event Story Bunny X 777 For their latest event, Coin Rush is offering a kiss from the bunny sisters of 777 as a grand prize. Jinx Player Main article: Jinx Player Aware that Rouge is a wreck after a string of misfortunate events after an unlucky day, she and Noir ask the commander to help her out and the two are also willing to assist him as well. Bond story Episode 1 - Woe Be to the Protagonist The protagonist decides to stop by the Outpost Maid Cafe to start the day, ordering a brunch set from Soda. The maid brings out the order, only for the protagonist's first bite to be full of blistering spice. It turns out Soda and Cocoa accidentally put salsa in the food instead of ketchup, but as the maid runs back to redo the order, she trips and spills the food all over the protagonist's clothes. The protagonist decides today simply isn't his day at the cafe, and bids the maid farewell as he steps out. Some time later, the protagonist finds himself with an awful stomachache, likely the salsa from earlier. Heading back to his room, he pours himself a glass of milk...only for Laplace to barrel into his room, bodily smash into him, and send his glass shattering to the floor. While Laplace is busy chiding the protagonist over drinking milk standing in front of the doorway, the man himself is more concerned about what reason would warrant Matis' leader barging in like this. The reason is that there is no reason, and she simply felt like seeing him. Almost as suddenly as she enters, Laplace hears a cry for help and departs by jumping out the window, sending more glass to the floor. While the protagonist is still parsing this, Rapi comes in as the portent of even more bad news. There was an operation report due today, and it completely slipped the commander's mind. After promising to do what she can about a deadline extension and reminding the protagonist of his upcoming lecture, Rapi takes her leave. Mentally bemoaning how today is just raincloud after raincloud for him, the protagonist decides to go out for a walk. A walk in the park later, and the protagonist feels much better...right up until a dog pees on his shoe. Biscuit of Happy Zoo comes bounding over, the little guy apparently a runaway trainee of hers. She profusely apologizes and promises to bring the man a new pair of shoes next they meet, before she runs off after the puppy that scampered away while they were talking. As the protagonist considers just staying indoors for the rest of the day when Blanc notices him and comes over calling. While she's a little cheery over bumping into him out of the blue, she's quick to notice the frown on the man's face. The protagonist takes a moment to rattle off the list of every way this day has gone wrong, getting a sympathetic wince from the white rabbit. While the two are talking about how he's trying to make the most of a bad day, a baseball hurtles from the side and beans the protagonist square in the head. After making sure he's not overly shaken in the noggin, Blanc gets the genius(?) idea of going around with him for the rest of the day. It's no secret that the bunnies of 777 are widely beloved as good luck charms, and she sees sharing the luck as no different from sharing in emotions like happiness and sadness with others. While willing to go through with this, the protagonist isn't sure how exactly "sharing luck" is supposed to work, to which she offers her hand to spread her luck by touch, much like how one's hand warms up when another holds it according to her. The two hold hands for a bit while Blanc explains how one goes about "testing" their luck. She proposes he simply wander around with no set destination and think about how lucky he is and how well things have gone for him. By her words, both life and luck are a matter of perspective and action. Nothing bad will happen if all you do is stand there, but neither will anything good. Her spiel finished, Blanc asks the protagonist whether he feels lucky now. He still has some reservations, but he's confident Blanc will work as a good luck charm, so the two set off to test their luck. Episode 2 - First Fortune The two walk through the Ark hand in hand, with Blanc remarking how much this feels like a date. While the two talk about how mindset matters in luck, the protagonist's stomach growls, a reminder that he's had no food or drink since that morning fiasco. Blanc sees this as an opportunity to test his fortune; if they can get a table at a popular regularly-crowded restaurant by walking in, they'll know his luck's taken a turn for the better. The protagonist agrees, and the two set off. They arrive at the most famous restaurant in all of the Ark. The line of people queueing for a table stretches for blocks, doing the protagonist's confidence no favors. Blanc takes a ticket and finds the number is "777." The implication of waiting behind literally hundreds of people is a bucket of cold water, and the protagonist is about ready to fold. Blanc considers the man may have a point, and proposes going elsewhere. While she's looking over their "777" ticket however, firecrackers suddenly set off. Confused, the protagonist looks around and finds a restaurant employee congratulating them. Turns out the establishment is holding a special event where the 777th customer gets to skip the line. While the clerk steps inside to guide the couple to their table, the protagonist can only comment that perhaps Blanc's luck is starting to rub off. The bunny in question modestly tells him that his mindset also played a part in their sudden windfall. The two enter the restaurant and order, the waiter bringing a veritable smorgasbord to their table. Blanc holds out a bite of pasta to the protagonist, intent on feeding him. He opens his mouth and is rewarded with the most exquisitely-cooked pasta he's ever eaten. Blanc goes on how nice this place was when she last came with Noir, leading the protagonist to wonder why the black bunny of 777 isn't accompanying today. Turns out Noir is busy brushing up on her dancing skills. The enthusiasm is appreciated, but Blanc is concerned that her sister is maybe working too hard at it. The conversation turns to the bond shared between the twin rabbits of 777, and Blanc promising to have Noir come along next time they visit this restaurant. Some time later, the meal is wrapped up. The protagonist notices a bit of sauce on Blanc's lip and wipes it off with a napkin. While the white rabbit's eyes shine at this display of care, a clerk comes over to get the couple's opinion on the service. He's also there to offer the establishment's most decadent dessert, something they only make 10 of per day, for completely free to their 777th customers. The protagonist can only marvel at this complete one-eighty of his fortunes, leading Blanc to crow that she was right. Keep the mindset of a winner, and good luck will hit you in moments you least expect it. She's eager to finish the dessert and go someplace else to test the protagonist's luck. Episode 3 - Fortune Times Two Blanc proffers her hand to the protagonist again, commenting how her luck rubs off on him quite nicely. The two walk holding hands again, and find all manner of small blessings follow them. A rainbow shining in the sky, a rarity for the Ark. A four-leaf clover found right by the protagonist's feet (a man-made four-leaf clover, but a four-leaf clover nonetheless). The protagonist can only marvel at how only good things have happened since Blanc started to accompany him, a sentiment Blanc echoes regarding her feelings about following the protagonist. As the two spend a blessed day, Blanc notices a sign for a raffle, and they decide to participate. The site of the raffle is utterly thronged with people. The protagonist holds Blanc close to him by the back of her waist to make sure she doesn't bump people, and while he apologizes for being a bit close, Blanc is quite...appreciative of the intimate proximity. A moment later, the MC of the raffle shows up and explains the rules. He'll call out audience members to the stage and have them pull a numbered ball from a container filled with 100 balls. The lower the number, the bigger and better the prize. The MC scans the crowd and spies Blanc and the protagonist, calling them up to stage. Blanc introduces herself as an employee of Coin Rush, getting a look of excited recognition from the MC. The protagonist introduces himself, answering the MC's question about the two being a couple by calling Blanc his fiancé girlfriend. Blanc's face lights up in delight while the MC remarks on how quickly the man responded. With the icebreaker out of the way, the MC reiterates the rules. The two are allowed to pull three balls from the container, thus three (potentially) fabulous prizes will be theirs. Blanc stands back to let the protagonist draw, confident in his recent string of luck. The first ball is the number 80, awarding...a jumbo pack of cotton swabs. It's a very underwhelming start, but the MC reminds the protagonist he still has two chances. Blanc pulls the man aside to give him a hug and inject him with a bit more luck. She promises the next ball will definitely be lower than 80. The second ball is number 32, which turns out to be...a bar of Splendamin. It's certainly a better prize than before, and the MC invites Blanc to cheer on her "boyfriend" one last time before the final draw. The MC jokingly(?) suggests Blanc kiss the protagonist on the cheek, and the man in question sticks his face out eagerly. Getting over her reservations, Blanc kisses the protagonist on the cheek, and he draws the last ball. The final draw is...number 2, the 2nd prize. Blanc cheers over this luck test being a rousing success while the MC ushers them to the prize booth. After the raffle, Blanc is still over the moon at their big win in a random lottery. The protagonist is less exuberant, pondering his unreal turnaround in fortunes. The more physical contact he had with Blanc, the bigger and bigger his lucky strikes have gotten. If that's the case, then... Episode 4 - A Luck-Based Experiment The protagonist shares his hypothesis with Blanc, who admits that even she found today's good fortune to be out of this world, and she's the one with a reputation as a lucky charm. She proposes putting this hypothesis to the test with one final luck check. The protagonist decides to try a gacha machine or few, and Blanc knows of a game center with plenty of those. At the game center, the duo stands before the gacha machines. The protagonist explains that this specific machine can either output an empty capsule, a "normal" figurine, a "special," and a "legendary." Each machine contains three "special" figurines and only one "legendary" figurine. The idea is to ramp up to increasing levels of physical intimacy until they manage to pull the legendary. The two hold hands as they crank the handle, and... It's the legendary figure on the first try! ...Or not, a closer inspection reveals it's a normal. The two take solace in that they avoided getting a dud just by holding hands, and while the protagonist is concerned about escalating too quickly, he acquiesces to Blanc's proposal of kicking up the intimacy. Kissing this early would be a bit much, so the protagonist hugs Blanc around the waist and pulls her close. The couple of a man and a bashful bunny crank the handle again, and... The second capsule reveals...a special figure! So far they're two for two on the intimacy-luck proportionality theory, but they decide to do a few more tests just to see how far this "coincidence" will go. The next "hug-draw" nets another special figure, and the two ruminate how astronomically low the odds are to get two specials in a row, considering a machine with dozens to hundreds of capsules only has three specials. They consider that maybe, this whole thing isn't a coincidence, and that if they ramp up the intimacy from here, the result will change to match. The next step from a hug is quite obviously a kiss, but the protagonist has some...ideas. He pouts his lips and sticks his face out, offering a lip-to-lip touch. Blanc goes red in the face at the idea, particularly since it's her first kiss, but she goes all-in since it's also the protagonist's first kiss. After a moment of awkward heated silence, the two give the gacha another go. The two take a moment to shake off their nerves before opening the capsule. Unbelievably enough, it's...the legendary figure. Blanc believes the man is having her on, but he points to the gacha machine. Its once-blinking lights have dimmed out, a sign that it's been relieved of its legendary. After taking a moment to realize their theory was correct, the two spend the rest of their time together "testing their luck" and finding their fortunes getting as hot and heavy as they are. Episode 5 - One Lucky Guy Night falls as the couple finishes testing their luck. Blanc considers this a solid proof to their intimacy-luck theory, and believes the protagonist played a bigger part in this than her status as a good luck charm. After all, it takes two people to have physical intimacy. Moreover, even with a little fatigue, Blanc still wants to keep the good times rolling and spend as much time as she can with the protagonist. The two go about the night on a seemingly endless lucky streak. Getting to try new menu items for free from a famous patisserie, getting a big win on the last scratch-off card being sold, the blessings seem to never stop coming. Some time later, Blanc seems completely drained of energy and asks to sit down for a bit. She tries to tell the protagonist something, but falls unconscious before she can get the words out... The protagonist rushes Blanc to the hospital, where Mary is giving her a lookover. She waves off the protagonist's concerns that the rabbit will never awake, assuring there is no physical malady. She did notice however that Blanc's stamina is quite low, enough to only total to half that of a standard human's. The news briefly alarms the protagonist before Mary assures him that it's not as bad as it sounds. Blanc just needs to rest and she'll be right as rain. The doctor leaves to see to her other patients, asking the protagonist to call her if Blanc's condition changes. Alone in the hospital room, the protagonist ponders how this came to be. Sure, they'd run about for the better part of a day doing all sorts of things, but how is it that a Nikke like Blanc could become completely exhausted while an ordinary human like him is perfectly fine? The only thing that would really explain it would be the luck Blanc's been giving him all day... A stirring from Blanc jolts the protagonist back to reality, and he sees to the condition of the white rabbit. He explains Mary's diagnosis and his theory as to why her energy suddenly zeroed out. Blanc admits that at this point, it's the only reasonable explanation. The protagonist tries to advise Blanc to be more careful with sharing her luck, but the rabbit in question doesn't see it as a problem, given how she's not going be nearly as touchy-feely with the customers at Coin Rush. Moreover, she's never had problems sharing her luck with the patrons of the casino, but she realizes that perhaps that may have been a result of Noir being with her. The two are twins, two halves of the same whole, so that likely plays a factor. The protagonist still has his concerns, but seeing Blanc shrug off the fatigue and promise to be more careful assuages him for now. He then remembers Blanc trying to tell him something before she passed out, and the white rabbit practically jumps from the remembrance. She gazes intensely into the man's eyes, and the mood in the room takes an entirely different turn. The protagonist asks if Blanc has fallen for him, which the rabbit admits is actually the case. Over the course of this day, and all the time and physical contact they spent together, it made her feelings only grow stronger. She cherishes the time they spent together, just like the days she spends with Noir, and she wanted him to know that, whether or not he felt the same way. The protagonist admits that he also likes her, and Blanc is overjoyed to her the news. Though she admits she wants a redo of this confession later, when she can let Noir into the loop. The protagonist decides to humor this odd request. Blanc leaps from the bed into the protagonist's arms, promising to be an exclusive good luck charm for him. The man himself is concerned about draining Blanc's stamina again, but the rabbit feels safe that he has her best interests at heart. Thus the curtain falls on this strange, wonderfully lucky date between the protagonist and Blanc. Tetra Line CEO Mustang thanks the audience before him for supporting his casino resort Coin Rush with their patronage. To celebrate the occasion, Coin Rush is holding a special event he dubs "Bunny X 777" in one week. In addition to a plethora of entertainment and prizes, the biggest winner of the event will receive a special prize; a kiss from Blanc and Noir, the Rabbit Twins of 777 squad. With his promotion done, Mustang bids the audience adieu. It's another bright and sunny day at the Outpost, and the protagonist feels like such a peaceful day is going to be turned upside-down by something or other. As if on cue, Blanc and Noir barge into his room, hollering for his help. Blanc gives a bit of a cliff notes explanation about the circumstances. Coin Rush has undergone something of a revival with their latest upsurge in business, so the casino is holding an event to celebrate, where the grand prize is a kiss from the two 777 bunnies. Noir is quite shell-shocked at the idea of kissing a stranger, and Blanc is unwilling to go along with anything that rustles her sister's jimmies. But with the ads already running and the contestants practically swarming for a smooch, they only have one option to avoid locking lips with some rando. That solution being to have the protagonist enter and start racking up the wins. The luck-based element and lack of foreknowledge on what he'll need to play to win doesn't do wonders for his confidence, but he's willing to give it a go. Despite the two bunnies assuring him they'll act as his lucky charms, the protagonist can't help but feel a sense of foreboding... Rabbits' Request: B At the request of the twins, the protagonist heads to Coin Rush to meet with the gamemaster Rouge. At first, she thinks he's here to gamble, but then he explains that he registered for the Bunny X 777, and wants some insider info to gain an edge. Rouge refuses, and flips a coin to demonstrate. Challenging him to make a guess even without knowing is how the world works in her eyes. Sometimes, one has to take a risk without knowing everything there is, be it gambling in a casino or taking a gamble out in the real world. The luck factor is why she can't give him any assistance in the matter. The protagonist accepts the point, and apologizes for bothering Rouge, but then the gamemaster considers maybe tipping the scales in his favor, just a little. Rouge flips and catches the coin again, holding her fist out to the protagonist and asking him to guess heads or tails. Should he guess right, she'll give him a hint on what to expect in the Bunny X 777. The protagonist guesses right, and Rouge gives him the details. The three big events leading up to the grand prize are a one-on-one showdown, a treasure hunt, and a number-guessing game. The protagonist thanks Rouge for the info, and the gamemaster wishes him good luck. Later, Rouge creates a special group chat so that she can talk in private, but Blanc and Noir somehow sneak in, having glanced at the room name from Rouge's phone. The four of them all banter for a while before 777 signs off to get ready for another shift at Coin Rush. Practice Makes Perfect: A 6 days remain until the Bunny X 777, and the protagonist hasn't done much practice. Considering the 1st event is 1v1, he decides to get into epic showdowns with Milk and Exia. 4 days until Bunny X 777. With the 2nd event being a treasure hunt, he consults Poli and Mica for advice. Poli advises him to get into the head of whoever's hiding the treasure, while Mica helps him practice by simulating a treasure hunt. 2 days until Bunny X 777. To practice for the number-guessing game, the protagonist needs to find someone with a sharp intuition. He meets up with Mary and Yulha, who give him advice and training. Practice Makes Perfect: B 1 day until Bunny X 777. The protagonist's training has definitely borne fruit, but he remembers Rouge's words; luck is going to play a major factor in all three events, and there's no real method to training luck. Pondering over this morsel, the protagonist doesn't notice Anis strolling into his room until she calls to him. A pep-talk to tell him to stop frowning soon turns into a session of philosophical wondering by the two, thinking about how exactly one can tell they're in for a good turn of fortune. They eventually decide on the point that luck itself is an abstract idea, given how people of all stripes can feel lucky over anything happening to them. The discussion over, Anis proposes heading over to Coin Rush. Apparently, there's a legend that if you can catch a glimpse of Blanc and Noir at the same time at the casino, you're in for a major win. The protagonist flashbacks to the twins' assurances they'd act as his lucky charm, and he thanks Anis before heading out to Coin Rush. Going Rabbit Hunting: A As the sun goes down, Coin Rush lights up. The protagonist eases his way through the crowds trying to find Blanc and Noir, the atmosphere thick with both the despair of losing it all and the exuberance of winning big. After a few laps around the casino, the protagonist has seen neither hide nor hair of the twins. He overhears some patrons chatting about a pair of bunnies making the rounds of the casino, and figures that Blanc and Noir are indeed here. Pushing aside a few customers in his way, the protagonist looks upon the twin bunnies...Rupee and Viper? Turns out Rupee is holding a special stream for the Bunny X 777, and has dressed in a bunny attire for the occasion. Viper has joined the stream as a special guest, donning a bunny suit of her own. The protagonist is surprised to see the two of them together in a place like this, and after exchanging greetings, it turns out this was a bit of a happy coincidence. Rupee's been regularly hooking Viper up with deals on merchandise, and the two decided to come together when they realized they both had plans to come to Coin Rush. As the unlikely pair of Nikkes departs, Viper advises the protagonist to try and talk to Rouge if he's planning to see Blanc and Noir. Hearing the gamemaster is handling a table right behind him, the protagonist bids the two goodbye and departs. Going Rabbit Hunting: B At the table, Rouge notices the protagonist and invites him to sit at the last empty spot of the table. She can easily see he's here to see Blanc and Noir in the casino, and invites him to play a little game while the bunnies are preparing for a show. The players will each pick a card without looking at it, and raise to their forehead to show to Rouge. The players will each ask Rouge three questions that she must answer truthfully. Then the players must guess the value and suit of their card. His three questions asked, the protagonist guesses wrong right, and notes how the game was tougher than he'd thought. Rouge notices it's about time for the show to start, and gestures him to watch. As if on cue, the lights go dark before the stage reveals a pole with two bunnies dancing in sync. Blanc is energetic and blithe, while Noir is graceful and dynamic. The audience is going wild at the sight of the two beauties dancing, and a few members even holler to stake their claim to the lips of the 777 bunnies. But sequestered in the crowd, one man with a darkened expression mutters, calling the others fools... Luck Recharged After the show ends, Rouge makes some small talk with the protagonist, commenting on how Blanc and Noir have a way of getting all eyes in the room fixed on them. She then remembers that the twins would be more than happy to see "Pit Boss" paying them a visit, and escorts him to their waiting room. The gamemaster overhears the twins messing with each while changing, and with some exasperation, asks the protagonist to wait while she steps in to handle things. A moment later, Rouge peeks out the door and beckons the protagonist inside. The bunnies of 777 are more than happy to see him, knowing he was in the audience for their performance, but they can't help but wonder what he's doing at the casino. They quickly deduce he's here for the Bunny X 777, and the man admits he wanted to see the two for a little boost to his luck, especially since he's going to be gunning for the top prize. The twins clasp their hands together at the response, elated that he's going all-out to fulfill their request. They take his hands and claim they're giving his luck a supercharge, causing the protagonist to feel a tingling running through his hands. The protagonist feels the luck coursing through his body, though the rabbits decide to hold his hands and escort him back to the Outpost, just to make sure his luck gets really supercharged. Walking home with a bunny on each arm, the tingling in the protagonist's hands is getting even stronger. He can confidently promise that tomorrow's win will be his, with a little luck and the two rabbits on his side(s). Meanwhile, the protagonist gets messages from both Anis and the 777 temporary chat. The former is a mix of egging him for going into the Bunny X 777 for the grand prize and wishing him luck. The latter is some chatter and well-wishes from the squad, hoping for his victory tomorrow.
