Noah was born in Whangārei, New Zealand, where he lived in one of the country's massive, floating habitation units (as much of New Zealand had at this point been lost to flooding due to the environmental crisis). Inspired by his surgeon father, he studied medicine before enlisting with the G.A.I.A. military at age 20.

• Witnessed his squad brutally massacre a peaceful alien convoy, leading him to defect from the Imperium at 23.
