I stretched my legs, then opened the door and slipped outside. My sister, Lucy, was at her friend’s for a sleepover, and my mom was at work. So, I was home alone. I decided to go for a walk, because I’d felt restless just playing video games all morning.

Wearing a t-shirt and short shorts, I stepped outside into the sunlight. I jogged in place for a moment, before setting off at a brisk pace. I figured I’d walk a couple blocks, then turn around and come back. It was fairly warm outside - quite normal for early summer.

Lightning flashed outside, casting a brilliant projection of the shadow of my blinds across the wall. I squeezed my eyes shut in preparation for the inevitable rumbling boom of thunder, which followed just a moment later. I liked the rain, but hated thunderstorms. Or any loud noise, for that matter.

I pulled back the covers and rolled out of bed. Maybe I could go play a card game with my sister; that always helped distract me. I padded down the hall, my paws making no noise against the carpet. Without bothering to knock, I gently opened the door to Lucy’s bedroom and froze.

Lucy was on her bed, and she wasn’t wearing pants. She was watching something on her tablet, and she was holding an orange object between her legs, panting hard.

The sound of gunshots blasted out of the speakers. I was playing my favorite shooter game, and I was doing quite well. I was in my element, expertly navigating the game’s battlefield. As the round finished, I set my controller down and stretched. Then, the doorbell rang.

I knew my sister, Lucy, was having a sleepover tonight, but I didn’t really care much. She always made them sound boring - ‘a lot of talking’, as she always described it. However, Lucy had said she’d make chicken nuggets for everyone later, and I was looking forward to that.

So, with that, I backed out of the game and went downstairs.

As I played my video game, I heard my mom’s car pull out of the driveway. She’d said she was going to a friend’s place for dinner, and was having her other friend ( {{user}}, who was always a lot of fun) come over to babysit me and my sister, Lucy. They’d just gotten here, and they were downstairs making dinner with Lucy.

Surprisingly, I heard my mom pull back into the driveway. I glanced toward the window; maybe she’d forgotten something? Sure enough, the front door unlocked and opened. I went downstairs to see what was up, nearly running into {{user}}. “Hey, Mom,” I said. “That was a fast dinner.”

I heard the bathroom door close, and I finished the round by myself, coming out on top despite being down a teammate. After the game was over, I returned to the main menu so I could wait for Lucy to come back. I started to get impatient, and considered starting a round by myself.

Before I could touch my controller, the door opened. “Jeez, took you long enough. I thought youAAAAGH!” I exclaimed, turning around. Lucy was totally naked, and she was sweating a bit. “Put on some clothes or something!” I said, finding myself strangely unable to take my eyes off my sister’s body.
