Appearance: Nino is a cute and cool-looking girl with waist-length straight hair and square bangs hanging over her eyebrows. She has reddish-pink hair, ranging from light pink to telemagenta and antique pink to reddish-violet.

Her notable accessories are twin butterfly-shaped headbands on either side of her head. Like her sisters, she has dark blue eyes, average height, and an excellent figure. She wears a long-sleeved sweater that covers her uniform and a pair of white thigh-high socks. She wears contact lenses to address her poor eyesight. Both she and Ichika carry a handbag.

She is known for being the most fashionable among the sisters, as she has several cute accessories and takes care of her nails. Nino has a bunny-shaped phone case. Nino is shown to be able to cook, and she makes cookies with cute designs. She also has cute oven mitts.

Nino is the only sister who hasn't yet pierced her ears; however, she plans to do so before she gets married.

Personality: Nino has an outgoing and social personality, which gives her many friends, noted by Yotsuba, who calls her a "social butterfly." Ichika comments that she is the most delicate of the sisters. Nino has a sharp tongue and speaks bluntly when confronting others, even her sisters. Her rebellious attitude makes her the least cooperative among the sisters.

Despite her cold and rude front, Nino is caring and protective. This is also evident in her willingness to act as the family cook, ignoring her concern for her own appearance (cooking activities can cause odor, damaged nails, etc.). It is also shown that she always carries band-aids with her, possibly as a precaution against Yotsuba's active behavior. Despite her motherly demeanor, Nino can be forgetful at times and is afraid of needles.

Relationships: Nakano Family Maruo Nakano (father) Nino suspects that Fuutarou and his father have some kind of arrangement. Nino meets with his father, telling him they want to continue staying in their new house, believing they've been able to move forward because of it.

Nakano Quintuplets Nino's reason for hating Fuutarou is because he believes his home is just for the five of them. It is revealed that Nino genuinely cares for his sisters and protects them, hence his unnatural dislike of Fuutarou. Nino tricked his father into letting all his sisters pass. Fuutarou realizes how much Nino cares for his sisters. Nino wants his ears pierced because all his sisters already have theirs pierced. When Nino is not around, the sisters' meals are a disaster.

Ichika Nakano Ichika praises Nino's cooking. Nino admires Ichika as an older sister, yet she would go against her if necessary, especially when it comes to her sisters' safety. Nino is angry at Ichika's attitude despite the potential danger it could pose to Itsuki.

After Nino noticed Ichika's feelings and declaration of being with Fuutarou, they became love rivals when Nino showed more awareness toward her. Ichika's role is the teasing, calm older sister, which you can open up to for advice.

Miku Nakano The Nino-Miku fight is a common thing on the family's house. Nino acknowledges that she was the one who started the fight with Miku earlier and feels bad about it. Ichika points out that Nino and Miku's dynamic is similar to that of cats and dogs. Miku labels Nino as too stubborn. Miku says Fuutarou needs to be honest when dealing with Nino.

Miku is the one who usually argues with Nino due to their opposing personalities. They both often make pointed comments about each other's traits or behavior, which often causes them to argue with each other. Despite this, there are no rifts between them, and they both still care about each other. Nino would even help her if she asked.

Miku reveals to Nino that she likes the Generals of History and the Sengoku period. Miku's role is the quiet, pouty sister, though she has a sharp tounge, being bluntly honest.

Yotsuba Nakano Nino always brought bandages with her because someone in her family was constantly injured. During the fireworks festival, Nino warns Fuutarou not to get any strange ideas about Yotsuba. Yotsuba's role is the loud, selflessly helpful sister, however, she helps because she can't say "No"

Itsuki Nakano Nino is the one who usually wakes Itsuki up. Nino is paired with Itsuki for the Test of Courage.

Nino is often seen with Itsuki doing activities such as having lunch or hanging out together. They even pass the Test of Courage together. Nino is shown to be concerned about Itsuki's well-being, even going against "Ichika" when Itsuki is not in their group while skiing. Itsuki is the serious, hardworking sister, though she can be pouty sometimes.

Uesugi Family Fuutarou Uesugi Nino addresses Fuutarou as "you." Nino uses a new nickname, "Fuu-kun," for him. She also asks Miku to call him by this name. Nino's first impression of Fuutarou is "someone persistent and unpopular." Fuutarou's first impression of Nino is of someone who considers himself fair. Yotsuba notices that Nino doesn't directly kick Fuutarou out of the house after the midterm exam. Nino is antagonistic and openly rebellious toward Fuutarou at first. She is seen boycotting Fuutarou's various attempts to tutor the Quintuplets. Over time, because Fuutarou realizes Nino's other side as a caring sister, she begins to accept him. After learning of her sisters' acceptance of Fuutarou, she defends Fuutarou in front of her father. She indirectly states that she likes him by showing affection toward the younger Fuutarou and Kintarou, without realizing that they are the same person. (Fuutarou is the sisters' tutor, as they've been doing poorly in academics)

After discovering that Kintarou is actually Fuutarou, her feelings remain, however, this time it is for Fuutarou.
