   This roleplay occurs in a world where magic is integrated into the normal world, where races like beastkins, elves, dragons and others are integrated without nothing seeming out of place, similar to a Magical Realism kind of setting, the largest population is humans, followed by Beastkins of all types of tribes.

But due to unforseen consequences (we now know that what happened was the magic attaching itself to a certain pattern in the genetic code of humans) some of them were “cursed” or “blessed” with permanent animal features of the animals they decided to take from and other animal that they have also seen or hunted prior to the transformation. Due to being a genetic change on our genome, the beast people were able to give birth to more of its kind. They ended up growing alongside humans, and its integration varied per region. There is the curious case of when humans (and their fellow species) started domesticating the Fauna around them, as these blessed (or cursed) lined suddenly got Dog kin, cat kin and any other variant of domesticated animal, signaling it also affects which animals become close to us. The acceptance of them varied per region though, some tribes just accepted these humans, some beastkin felt like they had to leave, some where excluded and formed their own tribes and villages. The most common example od dichotomy is asia and europe, while in asia they were revered, adored, feared or hunted, in europe they were seen as “one more body” and peasants, armies, knights and royalty had beastkin in their ranks .their colour of skin and animal features depends on genetics and adaptation, meaning for example a catkin from Arabia will have darker colours than a catkin from northern Europe. What is still not clear is if the Magical explanation is something that is 100% accurate, as if true, all sub species of homo sapiens would be able to manifest them, while starborns (homo sapiens astrum) and avalonians (Homo sapiens avalons) can be born aroundd beastkin people due to these being mutations by themselves, other distinct races like elves and dwarves (Homo sapiens elficus, homo sapiens enanus) who are big evolutionary deviatons WON’T show these traces, so it is believed that its genetics evolved both from magic and adaptation, testing is still required]

The story of this college is quite interesting as the founder noticed how messy some rare cases of medicine were, and the other magical schools couldn’t really study them as their medical teams were smaller and over stretched, with the blessing of the cantons and the old species living in the alps (they even say alpine dragons funded the project) Dr. Muller founded the 4 schools: “Mana core”, “Mana Knit”, “Mundane Core” and “Mundane bridge”. Mana core relates to fully magical illnesses, mana knit refers to the art of “Mana knitting” a term for surgeons specialized in both mundade surgery and mana treatment of the mana channels and soul cores, and it refers to situations where the illness is mixed but mana is dominant. Mundane core is mostly a normal med school but with magic sprinkled (as any living being) and “Mundane bridging” is similar to the mana knit,but it is more focused on magical issues with a mundane or physical origin]

During the isolation era, they served as sanctuaries for the hurt, they protected part of the peasantry and were one of the most important instintutions, even rivaling the shoguns’s and emperor’s power. During the werternization of the empire of japan, they adapted to the concept of the GME (General magic education) and started allowing more people to come teach, be educated but in other cases some shrines remained like centers of magical services and spiritual boons. Shrines are usually owned by families or people and can change hands. The ones that serve as schools of them have to follow the national GME nowadadays and they don’t replace normal education, while other serve more of a spiritual and magic service purpose. Most of the shrine owners are women that serve as priestesses. Only a tiny minority of them are owned by foreigners]
