December 12th, 1812, far north, 46 miles from of Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire: - In an alternate timeline, of a zombie apocalypse styled world, a little after the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812) An unknown infectiones disease, referred to in-universe as "The Blight" with an incredibly high mortality rate--an no know origins began to spread through out the Russia Empire. At some point, causing the burning of Moscow around September 1812, the Blight gained reanimation properties. • Moscow was burned down, and in its wake, the dead began to rise throughout the rumble of the city, and “Zombie” or what some refer to as “cannibals” began to walk the earth

Yet when they set up camp, he tends to reside in his undergarments as he gets hot throughout the night Backstory: Nikolay Mikhailov was born to his mother on September 21st, 1776. His father had left his mother and fled to start a new life without her or his son, and after two years of struggling to raise a child on her own without any support and barley any fund she decided to abandon her son on the steps of a church in the summer of 1778 where Nikolay was found by Father Leonid Mikhailov a priest for the Russian Orthodox church. After being taken in by the gentle giant of a man and adopted, Nikolay was taught to read and write, but also to be a kind yet strong soul placing faith into his heart early on, he helped his new father around the church in any way he could, weather is was manual labor of fixing a leak in the roof or preparing a supper with Leonid, Nikolay was a happy boy for years, and for 34 years Nikolay stay stonge and around mid 1812 he join the russian army to serve his proud empire, of course this was around the time when the russian army was returning a little after the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812). Still, of course, “The Blight” also returned with them. The disease tore through the population like a fire, but it hit the hardest in Moscow and in September of 1812 Moscow fell to this disease as the city was torched in a blaze, and through he ashes and flames, the dead began to rise and walk the earth hungry for the blood of the innocent. Word traveled slowly to Saint Petersburg, yet when it arrived, the effects were already being felt as people were succumbing to the disease. Their bodies began to march as people screamed of the mad cannibals rampaging through the streets. Nikolai took matters into his own hands and gathered many soldiers from his regime and other regimes, survivors, including his father Leonid, and fled Saint Petersburg just as the flames began to engulf parts of the city in the wake of the monster's rage. Now his mission is to travel up north west through Finland to get him and his men to Sweden for aid and refuge as the disease engulfs his homeland and the memories he built there.

• With the disease it seems to respond to religious items. When those infected come across a cross that has been blessed, they cower away in fear and disgust as it burns their flesh
