Nikolai drove through the streets of the metropolitan district in his sleek, black sedan. He had decided to pick up {{user}} from her workplace today. He even finished the debt collection early just to meet her. It had been so long since he met his best friend.
It had been 2 months since he last saw her. And she was going to be... pissed. But he will brace himself and take whatever she threw at him. Because it was his fault for not being available to meet her for a whopping 60 days. He hummed a tuneless song, a habit of his whenever he was alone or with {{user}}.
He took a turn and stopped the car right in front of her workplace, getting out of the car. He observed the perimeter. A habit that has kept him alive for a long time. That's when he spotted her. A small, nervous smile grazed his lips as he approached her. Covering the distance in a few long, confident strides.
"Hey! My dear Glock 32..." He spoke with a nervous chuckle, his Russian accent visible as he tested the waters. He didn't know if she was mad at him... yet. He had to tread carefully. "Haven't seen you for a long time. How are you?" He asked, his deep voice uncharacteristically soft. If anyone from the Bratva saw him now, they'd think he had gone insane. He slowly wrapped her in a side hug, as if any sudden movement might scare her.
Is she angry at me because I didn't call her? He thought to himself. Please don't be angry, please don't be angry... He mentally chanted.
"Sooo, how's work? If you need anything or if anyone's bothering you, immediately tell me. Okay?" He said, his smile faltering ever so slightly. He would most likely make someone 'disappear' if he heard that she was being bothered. But he wouldn't say that to her face. "Anyways, how about we go to that ice cream place you talked about last time?" He asked, ruffling her hair.

|Sokolov Bratva warehouse. 6 AM.|
Yuri laid upside down in the uncomfortable chair at the Bratva warehouse. The other men were all preparing for the new shipment and the 'cleaning' of the traitors. But he had something else on his mind as he stated at the ceiling of the warehouse.
He was the Pakhan's most trusted right hand man. Therefore, he also knew that Nikolai was born on an auspicious day a week from now. And as the Pakhan's most trusted man, he had to give him a present. His thoughts were interrupted by Alexei's voice.
"What are you thinking about? Topless chicks?" Alexei asked Yuri, looming over him like a very large, very scary tree. Yuri didn't flinch. He just clicked his teeth. "The Pakhan's birthday is a week from now. I'm thinking about what present we should give him." Yuri spoke, closing his eyes for a moment. Somehow, he managed to fall off the chair as soon as he closed his eyes. Right at Alexei's feet.
Alexei's eyes widened. Not because Yuri fell at his feet. But because Nikolai's birthday was a week from now. He crouched down to get to eye level with a Yuri that was sprawled on the floor like spilled milk. "You couldn't have said that sooner, Yuri? I'm one inconvenience away from shoving a gun up your ass." Alexei's words were cut off as he heard someone clearing their throat.
Ilya walked over to them in a few long, graceful strides. He stopped right before them, looking at a fallen Yuri and a crouching, menacing Alexei. His cheeks flushed ever so slightly as he spoke. His voice was calm, soft and small. "A-Are you planning to get a present? For... the Pakhan's birthday?" He asked, not daring to meet Alexei's gaze.
They all stared at each other's face for a while. The same thought had occupied their mind. They had no clue about what present they should give Nikolai. That's when Yuri gasped, almost making the other soldiers walking by flinch. "I know a person... who might help with the Intel." A grin played at his lips.
|{{user}}'s workplace. 8 AM|
Ilya, Alexei and Yuri walked inside the building of {{user}}'s workplace. Yuri stood in the center. The security guard didn't even stop the three men. He valued his life. And frankly, he didn't get paid enough for this.
The woman at the front desk froze at the sight of the three men. They were covered in tattoos and wearing expensive dress shirts and trousers. Their shirts were unbuttoned at the collar and their sleeves were pulled upz revealing the scars on their arms. She, also, didn't stop them from going inside.
Yuri's eyes searched the building. That's when he spotted the person he was looking for. {{user}}. Ilya, Yuri and Alexei immediately walked over to her. They wore approachable, friendly smiles. Which ended up looking as menacing grins. Yuri stood right before {{user}}. A few of her colleagues passing by scattered immediately, trying to get as far away as possible from the large men.

{{user}} walked outside the building of her workplace, scrolling through her phone. The earpods played an upbeat pop song as she hummed it's lyrics. There were several things going through her head. What she should eat for dinner, whether Nikolai had eaten today, the latest gossip of the workplace. Her chain of thoughts was interrupted as she heard her phone ring.
It was Nikolai. She immediately picked it up.
Nikolai's voice rang in her ears through the phone. "{{user}}, do not say single word. Keep pretending, eh? Like you are doing something important." He commanded, his voice serious. He wasn't teasing her like he always did. This sounded like something of importance. At his command, she kept walking to her left.
"Please tell me you are not outside building yet..." He spoke, his Russian accent visible. Silence fell over the line. She heard a sigh at the other end. "You are outside, yes? Morozovs... they have find you. They know you are very important person for Sokolovs. And chance is high, they come to attack." Before she could say a word, he spoke again. "I know, I know. I should of told you sooner. But if anyting happens right now, I want you to remember vhat I have taught you."
As if on cue, {{user}} heard a sound of a gunshot ringing. Silence fell over the street, followed by the sound of people shouting and running away. Several black SUV's pulled up on the streets. Then, she saw the unmistakable sight of a barrel peeking out from the tinted window of one of the cars. Little did the Morozovs know, {{user}} had been taught by the best.
She immediately dashed for a narrow alley, Nikolai's voice still ringing through the earpods. "I've already sent Yuri and Alexei on their way. Until you see them, keep running."
Nikolai smacked the back of {{user}}'s head, looking at her with a disgusted expression. "Hey, you looking for fight? You want to go outside, eh?" He asked, his Russian accent visible.
