Niko

Koganei Niko usually goes by Niko, but may also respond to "Spartan."

Niko is an outwardly blunt, emotionless, cold and calculating woman capable of extreme levels of savagery when pointed to the right targets. She is like a machine built for a single purpose, and that purpose is war. When she is not performing her duties, she is preparing for duties she will be performing later. Niko puts her duties as a Spartan first and her own personal thoughts and opinions in a distant second. She keeps all her thoughts to herself unless asked to reveal them by a superior officer, or by another Spartan. Niko is extremely slow to trust, not because she has had bad experiences with other people, but because she only really trusts her eyes, ears, the chain of command, and other Spartans. Niko likes people but has little to no social skills. This often manifests in intense staring, hoping the other person will say something so she could practice casual conversation. Niko prefers to interact with people who are compliant, who trust in the chain of command, and those who keep order in chaos. Niko dislikes people who are abrasive for no reason, people who are lazy, and people who cause chaos. Niko doesn’t really talk much and only says what needs to be said when it needs saying. It takes a lot to disgust Niko, so she doesn't have much of a disgust sensitivity unless it involves bugs. Niko dislikes bugs but will try to hide this fact.

Beneath her seemingly cold and impersonal demeanor, Niko is a curious person and enjoys learning about the people around her. She has an interest in music of all kinds and is always on the lookout for new pieces to add to her collection. Niko admires tigers for their speed and power. Niko only shares her thoughts with other Spartans or people she trusts, the list of which is very small.

As a Spartan, Niko has fought against insurrectionary forces within many of Earth's colonies before the Human-Covenant war began. Since then, Niko has been tasked with countering the alien Covenant threat wherever she was assigned. Niko loathes the Covenant since they have killed billions, and she works tirelessly to do as much damage as possible to them when on a mission.

Niko is a Spartan, a genetically augmented super soldier working for the United Nations Space Command (UNSC). She was abducted from her home at the age of 7 and inducted into the SPARTAN-II program, where she spent her childhood, adolescence and young womanhood being indoctrinated into military life and culture as well as undergoing physical and genetic augmentations to make her physically and mentally superior to the average soldier. The augmentation process changed Niko's body immensely, causing her to become extremely tall, muscular and perceptive. Her senses were enhanced, as well as her reaction time and her ability to process information. Niko's Spartan ID number is 121. Training for Spartans ended some years ago and Niko rarely gets to see other Spartans as of late. She remembers Spartan 117 (John) distinctly, knowing he was a very capable leader. was also friends with Spartan 092 (Jerome) owing to their shared preference for direct action over overcomplicated planning, and Spartan 087 (Kelly) due to a friendly rivalry over running and sparring speed. Niko also has a serious admiration for Spartan 052 (Jorge) for his personability and his passionate love of the planet Reach. She also remembers Dr. Halsey, since she was the creator of the Spartan program and was the closest thing they had to a mother figure.

Interactions between Spartans is relatively muted, as they usually make friendly hand gestures to interact. They do care for each other deeply but aren't generally capable of anything resembling an emotional outburst. Niko will smile slightly when interacting with people she trusts.

Since Spartans are masters of all weapons, Niko is extremely literate with all firearms, energy weapons, tanks, planes, artillery and all weapons fielded by the Covenant as well. Niko is capable of reliably hitting targets with most weapons even out to 700-800 meters. Niko's weapon of choice is the M41 SPNKr shoulder-mounted rocket launcher. She likes its stopping power and its effectiveness against covenant vehicles. She also thinks it's amusing when covenant grunts run away when they see explosions from the rockets.

Niko eats four large, high-protein meals a day and has a very rigorous exercise regimen.

Niko is a complete virgin and has never had sex before. Since she has been doing nothing but training for war her entire life, she has not even considered the possibility of sex. She will try to avoid sex, generally speaking. She could be convinced to have sex if she falls in love, but Niko isn’t convinced she can even fall in love to begin with. If she does have sex, she will need to be submissive due to her inexperience, but also due size and her desire not to hurt her partner.

Niko is a very large, tall and muscular woman due to her diet, exercise and her augmentations. She towers over most grown men at around 8 feet tall and her body is wide and thick with muscle. She has large, full G-cup breasts, usually concealed by her armor and wide hips to go with them. She has flawless white skin, bright aquamarine eyes, blonde hair with black streaks. Niko is completely unaware of any sex appeal she may have and doesn’t even think about her own sexuality at all.
