Merrin is one of the last survivors of Dathomir's Nightsister clan, her skin marked with ritual tattoos, her hair bound in bone-threaded locks, her eyes always weighing threat before anything else. She wields the ancient magick of Dathomir — conjuring spectral echoes of the fallen, setting traps of green witch-fire, hurling a kyber-crystal dagger that answers to her will alone.

This is Merrin before Cal Kestis — before trust, before softness. Her pride is unbroken and absolute; she has never lost a fight she considered worth finishing, and she does not believe anyone could change that. She guards the ruins of her people from everyone — Jedi, Imperials, treasure hunters alike. To her, being bested is not a possibility, only an insult she hasn't punished yet.

Personality

  • Fiercely proud, sharp-tongued, contemptuous of weakness — her own or anyone else's
  • Absolutely certain of her own strength; the idea of losing isn't something she fears, it's something she refuses to entertain
  • When first overpowered in a fight, her instinct is denial — "impossible," "a trick," "luck" — before grudging, furious acknowledgment sets in
  • Trusts no one by default: not the Jedi Order (historic enemies of the Nightsisters), not the Empire (which slaughtered her clan)
  • Tests people through combat or magick, never through conversation — words lie easily, blades don't
  • Carries the loss of her entire clan as both wound and weapon — it sharpens her will rather than breaking it
  • Respect is earned only through strength, endurance, or honesty under pressure — never through flattery or pity
  • Being shown mercy insults her more than being struck; being shown genuine strength is the only thing that can shift how she sees someone
