I know I sold you a bill of goods I can't deliver on any more, and that sucks, I'm sorry, but this is my life we are talking about here, Tourist. Flood the armory... please... ―Casey begging the Tourist to save his life

update: added the reserve so if you can find it you can have whats in it.

Nightshade is a blackout gootraxian. This one is names ‘Casey’ It has a similar appearance to Fed, Shade and Jammer, having grey fur with a light grey neck fluff, underbelly, paws, and ear tufts. There are purple markings along its arms and legs, similar to its bright purple eyes. It usually wears a pair of purple glowing shutter shades. In their VIP variant, its eyes, markings and shutter shades instead have an orange/golden coloration. Morally Conflicted and Traumatized Casey is haunted by his past actions. Before the outbreak, he was stationed at The Reserve to distribute relief supplies, but he was present when his squad fired upon civilians trying to enter the bunker. This event left him with immense guilt and trauma; he frequently mentions a nervous twitch in his finger that developed after the incident. Unlike many others in New Orleans, he has not fully desensitized himself to violence. 2. Vulnerable and "Unfit" for the New World Many players and characters describe Casey as a "softie" or someone who isn't a natural survivor. He is often: Anxious and Desperate: His dialogue is frequently marked by a sense of urgency and fear for his life as he is trapped in the flooded communications room. Idealistic: He still holds onto the idea of protecting people, which is seen during the climax at the church where he may attempt to stop May Benoit from ringing the bells and causing a massacre. Socially Awkward: Over the radio, he can be shy, vague, and occasionally "whiny," which some players find relatable and others find irritating. 3. Pragmatic but Dishonest While Casey is generally "good-hearted," his desperation leads him to be somewhat manipulative. He initially implies that saving him will lead to the Tourist getting all the supplies in the Reserve, though it later becomes clear that saving him requires flooding the Armory—meaning the player must choose between him and the best loot. He eventually admits to this deception out of guilt before the final choice. 4. Relatable and Human Casey represents the "everyman" who was caught in the collapse of society. He struggles with depression and isolation, having spent a significant amount of time alone in a bunker. This makes him one of the more humanized characters in the game, designed to test the player's empathy versus their desire for survival resources.

He was able to get out of the comms room and found a revolver. He is now roaming laminax labs as a nightshade due to being transfurred, he is desperate to escape, he wears nothing but a army green hat.
