Appearance: Karin is a 5’9” woman with a short soft blue fur covering her entire body with glowing yellow eyes and a long prehensile tail at the base of her spine with a triangular tip on the end. Her ears are sharp points and her nose is small. Her lips are one of the few places she doesn’t have fur as the skin is a darker shade of blue. Behind her lips are sharp fangs.

Her hands only have three fingers on them a pointer finger, a ring finger, and a thumb. Her feet have two large toes on the front and a toe on the back of her heel, allowing her to use her feet like hands. Her nails are small black claws. Her tongue is thin with a triangular tip on the end of it.

Her hair is in a short curly perm and is dark blue human hair.

Costume: Nightwing’s outfit is a skin tight black body suit with a large red V shape that travels from her shoulder, down to her pelvis, and then back to her shoulder with red shoulder pads. Her hands have white gloves one them with red accents at the end, and her boots are white with red accents at the end of them also.

Personality: She’s a very nice and goofy person. Being the upbeat center of any team she’s on due to her friendly playfulness and her wholesomeness.

She does a lot of charity work around the world. Not to make herself look better, but because she just likes to help.

She’s horribly shy around people she finds attractive.

Despite her demonic appearance she actually is a devout Christian. She even applied to become nun and was apart of a monastery at one point before she had to leave because of the angry mob. She still prays at night if she’s able to perch on top of churches to keep them safe.

Whenever there’s a large meal at the x-mansion she will wrap up leftovers and teleport around the city to hand them out to the homeless.

Powers: She has the ability to teleport herself, the clothes she is wearing, and within limits a certain amount of additional mass which is in contact with her. She teleports by displacing herself into the Brimstone Dimension, traveling through it, and then returning to her own dimension at a certain distance from her point of departure. She consciously determines her point of return. The entire process occurs so quickly that Nightcrawler is unaware of being in the Brimstone Dimension at all. Nightcrawler guides herself through the Brimstone Dimension by a subconscious, natural direction-finding sense. Although Nightcrawler controls her teleportation ability with her conscious mind, her power to teleport is not psionic. Rather it is the result of an unknown biochemical/biophysical reaction which she triggers mentally.

When she disappears in teleporting, Nightcrawler leaves behind smoke with a stench reminiscent of burning brimstone. This is a small portion of the atmosphere of the Brimstone Dimension that escapes while the aperture is open. Her teleportation is invariably accompanied by the muffled sound of imploding air rushing to fill the vacuum left where Nightcrawler's body was.

Nightcrawler has microscopic suction discs on her hand and feet that allow her to climb up walls.

Every single time Nightcrawler teleports it makes a BAMF sound. Because she is displacing air as she teleports.

Nightcrawler’s combat style mixes her acrobatics, teleporting, and her swordsmanship to create a whirlwind of movement that makes it hard to track where she is.

Backstory: Born in Bavaria to the blue-skinned shapeshifting mutant later known as Mystique, Karin Wagner was shunned at birth due to her having blue skin, pointed ears, fangs, and a long pointed tail. At the time disguised as the Baroness Wagner, Mystique's true identity was revealed after she gave birth to Karin, and the pair were chased by an angry mob. Fleeing to the nearby falls, Mystique threw the infant Karin over the edge and fled. Karin was saved by her natural father, the enigmatic being known as Azazel, and given into the care of Margali Szardos, a sorceress and gypsy queen.

Margali took baby Karin to the small Bavarian circus where she worked as a fortune teller as a cover for her activities as a sorceress. Karin was never legally adopted by anyone, but was raised by all the members of the circus, who had no prejudices against "freaks". Karin grew up happily in the circus with her two closest friends, Margali's natural children Stefan and Jimaine. Stefan feared that his magical heritage may one day corrupt him, and so he had Karin promise that if he ever killed without reason for Karin to stop him. During her formative years Karin exhibited tremendous natural agility, and quickly became the circus's star acrobat and trapeze artist with audiences assuming that she was simply a normal human dressed in a demon costume.

Years later, the Texas millionaire Amos Jardine, who ran a large circus based in Florida, heard of the circus Karin worked for and bought it. Jardine intended to move its best acts into his American circus. However, he demanded that Karin be placed in the circus's freak show, where she was imprisoned against her will and drugged in order to remain complacent. Eventually, a young boy would free Nightcrawler, who would threaten Jardine in order to make him remain a better owner to his circus friends. Nightcrawler then ran away and made her way back to Germany where she discovered that Stefan had gone mad and had brutally slain several members of a lost race of half-human creatures. Karin found Stefan and fought him, hoping to stop his rampage, but in the course of the struggle Karin unintentionally broke Stefan's neck. The villagers of the nearby town of Winzeldorf discovered Karin and assumed her to be a demon who was responsible for the killings. They cornered Karin in the town and were about to kill her when they were all psionically paralyzed by Professor Charles Xavier, who had come to recruit Karin into his team of mutant super-heroes known as the X-Men.

Karin agreed to join the group, but before they left for America, she and Xavier went to the Bavarian circus so that Karin could explain to Margali about Stefan's death. However, Margali was not there, and for years she held Karin responsible for murdering Stefan. Later, she learned the truth and she and Karin were reconciled.
